Let me say this here: This is speculation based on career board finding and nothing official. The same goes for any site that isn't as courteous as Aggrogamer to state this. Now that is out of the way.
One of the big shockers at E3 this year was the announcement of Final Fantasy XIV Online. At least as far as the Sony briefing went. But it looks like there might be something else out there to excite and entice fans of all things Square-Enix. Or just things Final Fantasy. It looks like there could be a Beta for the game as soon as late September or early October. This is speculation and rumor still, but let me explain why.
On Square-Enix's job board, they are looking for more full time Online QA Coordinators and Game Masters. Which one could take as being them getting ready for the new MMO they have slated for Spring of 2010. Why else hire QA and Game Masters right? Which leads to why the speculated time frame above. Both have the positions listed as starting now to Mid-Spetember. Which would give ample time before a Beta was loosed to closed status and lucky members of the public are given access to test.
This could just be them replacing current staff that might have moved on to other things though. Hence why it is loose speculation. Neither of the job descriptions state that they are for a new title, just in general. So this could be for FFXI as well. Who knows.
It does pose some good news for fans, though. Like I said it could be them gearing up for a public closed Beta. We'll update as we get official word about a Beta.
