Little Nightmares
The first gameplay for Little Nightmares III is out here to show how the co-op has been evolved in the Little Nightmares universe
The announcement for Little Nightmares III took many by storm when it dropped out there not too long ago and we were all excited to see how it was going to expand going forward. Well, some of us were at least. Supermassive Games is looking to keep it all flowing a bit more while giving us another creepy narrative to take in for the IP. Even though it is not hitting the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X, Switch, and PC until 2024 though, we are not going to have to wait too long to see how it is all shaping up. That is, we have a whole lot of gameplay to look at for Little Nightmares III right now, and just before we dig into all of those other video games that feel right at how for Halloween as this one does.
Here we go with over eighteen minutes of gameplay from Little Nightmares III that show Low and Alone going through the paces of the new world. A dusty-filled world where we have a massive monster hunting the duo down too. Here we get to see them using the various skills each have to move objects, shoot things down, turn some cranks, and float up a bit with some items that can be found out there. All fairly standard gameplay for a Little Nightmares game, although this is all focused on the co-op aspect of it all more than anything. Have a look and see what you might be missing out on or need to get excited to explore out there in the mix of it all too. It is a fun little time to have here.
Little Nightmares III — The Necropolis: 2-Player Co-op Gameplay Walkthrough
Join Low and Alone as they attempt to face the many hidden hazards of the Necropolis. They’ll need to creep carefully, though… No one gets to toddle through Monster Baby's playground without a little game of hide and seek.
This first-look gameplay walkthrough was captured on a pre-alpha build of Little Nightmares III, with two players using the new co-op mode.
Little Nightmares III is coming to PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
While I do love me some gameplay like we have here for Little Nightmares III, I am a little curious to see if this would be able to be played in a couch co-op style at all. This footage does not show it as each character will go full off-screen to meet up with the other and not in a cut-scene kind of way. You can also tell that this was done by a few people who have memorized how the level is mapped out with each waiting by the next location well before the other has finished what they need to do. Not a massive detraction for a Little Nightmares title, but for those who generally have to play games alone, this is a title that does not feel like it will be the best for a solo play.
Have you been fully up on all of the Little Nightmares fun before now or did you miss it all before now? Do you think we will be able to play couch co-op out there or will it be an online-only thing for us all to experience? Would it be nice to see true amateur gameplay for this or does it fit for the game to show off how well it will function if we know the maps well before it launches? Take to the comments to discuss all of this and everything else we can share out there in the world. More for Little Nightmares III is coming to us all, so please keep on checking back for all of those updates and many others along the way.
