Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed Is Getting A Little More Possessive

The next update for Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed is coming to give us many more things to experience with the Ghostbusters out there

The spooks are seeping out more in Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed with a whole new update on the way to the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on April 20th here. The next massive DLC is coming from IllFonic for the asymmetrical multiplayer title and just as before, we are getting some massive updates to the game. The usual gear, a new map, general quality of life updates, and a new ghost type on the way for the Ghostbusters we are portraying out there to hunt down. Just another that will cause some pain and give us another bit of fun when we jump sides and look to play as the new Possessor out there.

The Ghostbusters in this new update will be able to head into the Courthouse map to make sure havoc is not being caused out there too much. Given that the new Possessor types will be able to possess the civilians and Busters in the match, so that will add a new twist to it all out there. Along with the new minion, the Trap Minion, there will be a lot of that havoc in the mix. Just so we can keep seeing Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed grow and expand out there through 2023. We should have a few more of these updates to keep the game growing out there. Have a look and get ready for all new kinds of twists and turns to come to the game here by the end of the week. I know I am a fan of the new ghosts we will have and then see how it will make the game harder for others once I am able to master this new type too.

Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed — DLC #2

Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed, a 4v1 hunt or haunt action-packed video game from the asymmetrical multiplayer experts at IllFonic, is set to release the game’s second DLC on April 20, 2023. This FREE DLC accompanies the purchase of the game and is available on PC/Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One.

Have you ever dreamt about taking on a Class VII other-dimensional entity that drools? This is your chance! On the flip side, have you ever wanted to be the one to have the power to summon ultimate fury…This DLC gives fans a chance to do both, along with experiencing new minions, AI, and a brand-new map. This packed DLC is sure to have fans playing well past the witching hour.

DLC Highlights:

  • New Map, The Courthouse - Strange activity is reported at the courthouse, which has made it challenging to conduct legal proceedings. Decades of dark practices and paranormal contact have made the courthouse a hotbed for ghost activity. Halls, offices, and courtrooms all connect to form a uniquely entwined gameplay space.
  • New Ghost Type - Possessor Ghost Type + 3 Variants - Scuttle, Hellion, and the famous Terror Sentinel provide the Possessor Ghost type with a unique playstyle. Use unique abilities and the Ultimate Possession to take over Civilians and even Busters!
  • New AI Type: Drudges - From the depths of the Ghost Realm, come the drudges to help! Summoned by Tobin, these helpful little entities help the ghost haunt the building and scare humans. Busters would be wise to focus on eliminating these spectral aides, and the Ghost can use the rifts to spawn more!
  • New Minion Ability: Trap Minions – A singular minion that the ghost plants hidden on the ground or inside of objects will spring to un-life when its stasis field is tripped and latch onto the unsuspecting victim!
  • Extreme Ghostbusters Cosmetics, Gear Shells, And Other Customizations - Buster cosmetics and gear shells that harken back to the Extreme Ghostbusters cartoon series that are unlockable through various Side Hustles and Research Contracts. The team also has new footwear, skirts, kilt bottoms, and several makeup styles to choose from. Shirt logos can now be used on appropriate tops.
  • General Improvements - Gear Upgrade Menu Overhaul, Ghost/Buster Bot Improvements, bug fixes, balance, QOL fixes, etc. to further improve the overall experience!

Have you been looking for a new type of ghost to go after the Ghostbusters or have you been still trying to master what we have already? How vast will the new Courthouse be as the new map or will it be on the smaller side of things instead? How rough will this new type be here once many players learn how to manage it to the best out there? Take it all to the comment section and then feel free to discuss it all as you so wish to do so. There is going to be more for Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed, so please keep checking back in for all of that and everything else out there. It should be a fun flow of things as we head forward.
