Strayed Lights
Gameplay for Strayed Lights is here to give us a better feel for how we are going to have to make it through Strayed Lights
The gameplay keeps flowing out over here with the next title up on the block for this being Strayed Lights. This is the action-adventure title that Embers announced not too long ago and is heading to the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PC on April 25th. A quick little turnaround for all of this and something that will get us looking at the game well beforehand. Especially since it looks like Strayed Lights will be giving the same style of gameplay these types of games usually have while adding in a system that feels akin to a rhythm game as well. Not like we have seen in some of the other mix-genre titles, but a version that makes a bit more sense and could be vastly easier for anyone to master along the way.
You can see it flow in the following video for Strayed Lights, but as it looks, the enemies in the world and our character will be putting off various light colors. Orange, Blue, and Violet from what we can see here. Effectively, our character will need to shift to the corresponding color when it comes to Blue and Orange while dodging from anything that comes with Purple. Fairly straightforward when you look at it. Though, it looks as if all of this is to build up a meter of sorts in Strayed Lights. One that will allow us to unleash a finishing move to end the enemy, or in the case of bosses, soothe them back to a more emotional state and bring balance back into the world. An interesting take on things here that also seems to build into the story of it all. Even if some of it looks like it will be button mashing to make sure we are the right color before getting hit. Have a look at it all below and see just what this April will hold for us all.
Strayed Lights — Gameplay
Developer Embers has unveiled the first gameplay trailer for the upcoming action-adventure game Strayed Lights, set to launch April 25 across PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam, the Epic Games Store, and GoG. The video details the innovative and challenging combat system that will lie at the center of a tiny lights’ journey to achieve awakening and overcome their inner demons. By shifting between orange and blue states of being, one can parry enemy attacks and, if timed correctly, absorb their opponent’s energy for powerful onslaughts capable of incredible damage.
In Strayed Lights, players will embody an unbalanced being of light and darkness on its path toward awakening. By mastering the game’s combat flow, a tiny light will evolve to help soothe the souls of daunting adversaries tormented by their own inner demons. Counter, parry, and strike with precision to fully realize the art on display in Strayed Lights’ combat.
Strayed Lights will launch on April 25 across PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam, the Epic Games Store, and GoG.
