Am I reading this right? Beta testing for Starcraft 2? I say, “Hell, It’s about time!”. You know what that means right? That means I (if I even get the beta key) get to test out a game that I have waited over 10 years for.
Blizzard president Mike Morhaime confirmed today (or yesterday depending on when you read this) by saying “This summer we will be opening up external beta testing, and while we haven’t announced a release date yet, this phase will also signal the final stretch [of development on the game]”
I bet you are wondering how you can sign up for the beta. Well fear not lurkers, it’s really simple. Go to Battle.net and register (or sign-in if you have already registered) and once you are logged in there is a link for Beta Profile Settings. You will need to download a quick program which will allow Battle.net to do a DXDIAG (a program that will scan your systems hardware) and send it to Blizzard and while you're at it you may want to make sure that the Starcraft 2 is checked for [Beta Test I’m Interested].
For anyone that has been waiting for Starcraft 2 to come out, just be a bit more patient, as the game is almost here for us to enjoy! So sign up to Battle.net and hope you’re one of the lucky ones to get a key to the beta. Good luck and watch out for them Ghosts.
