by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 26th of November 2015 - 12:00 AM ]
Video Games A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games Thus concludes another week in video games; albeit a shorter one. With all of the Thanksgiving and Black Friday mess coming up we have decided to allow everyone a reprieve from the work and to allow them to enjoy all of their video games. Guitar Hero Live and Rock Band 4 have some great stuff in the works for these holidays so there is always that. Not to mention all the work up for Just Cause 3 and Star War Battlefront that needs to be seen and played. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 24th of November 2015 - 06:00 PM ]
Guitar Hero Live Guitar Hero Live just added 28 new songs and two new premium shows to keep the Guitar Hero Live fun going over this holiday If you were looking for something to help break up the pains of this American Holiday weekend then take note that Guitar Hero Live is getting 34 new songs added to the list for us all to play and enjoy. It looks like Activision has been keeping on FreeStyleGames to get more content out there and now we have another huge drop for the GHTV service that is part of Guitar Hero Live. In fact, 28 of those mentioned songs are part of GHTV and being added to the mix as you read this. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 6th of November 2015 - 11:59 PM ]
Video Games A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games So much news in the world of video games here and so much more to come. I think we'll have a lot more as Blizzcon rolls out and we lead into the heavier part of the release season but it is a fickle industry. Especially when there are such great hidden gems like the Black Ops 3 Nightmare mode that was hidden from us all. That and the new Friday The 13th visuals that have just made their way into the world of video games here. Read More...

Review — Guitar Hero Live
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 5th of November 2015 - 08:00 PM ]
Guitar Hero Live We Sit Down And Review Guitar Hero Live. Things Have Been Changed Up Quite A Bit This Time Around To Make The Franchise Feel New; But Does It Pay Off? Here's Our Review Of Guitar Hero Live Looks like the rhythm game is trying to make a comeback and now we have the other main competitor in the way of Guitar Hero Live. This franchise is one of the ones that made the whole genre as popular as it has become over the years, even with its short hiatus, and FreeStyleGames is bringing it back to try and bring new life into the franchise. Not only is it a new game with, technically, new songs but Guitar Hero Live adds in a few new features and mechanics to said genre but do they help or hinder in the long run? Read More...

This Week In Video Games 10/5/15 — 10/9/15
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 9th of October 2015 - 11:02 PM ]
Video Games A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games There goes another week in video games in the bag. Or case if you will. Things were all over the place this week and there were so many 'leaks' out there in the world of video games. I'm looking in the direction of Street Fighter V here and a bit at Star Wars Battlefront. Although the beta is out for the latter here so it's not really leaked any more. The first still very much so. Read More...

12 More Classic Songs Join The Guitar Hero Live Track List
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 9th of October 2015 - 07:01 PM ]
Guitar Hero Live Twelve more tracks have been added to Guitar Hero Live and while not all classics songs they are coming to Guitar Hero Live from past titles in the franchise Time to make the track list for Guitar Hero Live a not so round number of 121 now as we have twelve more tracks to add to the list today. Quite a hefty starting catalog for FreeStyleGames to get in there and I'll take it. Especially since these new Guitar Hero Live tracks have all been pulled from previous Guitar Hero titles that Activision still has the rights to. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 14th of September 2015 - 07:00 PM ]
Another premium show for Guitar Hero Live has been revealed with Avenged Sevenfold taking the bill and letting us play a live concert in Guitar Hero Live For the most part it the title above kind of explains the news here for Guitar Hero Live and the latest Premium Show that has been added to the list. It looks like Avenged Sevenfold is getting another crack with an Activision title here as we will get to play the three song long set here in FreeStyleGames' title in way of a live concert. For those who don't know Guitar Hero Live's Premium Shows are special "shows" that will unlock during your gameplay and completing various in-game challenges. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 9/7/15 — 9/11/15
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 11th of September 2015 - 11:14 PM ]
A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games It has been a shorter week in the video games world here but that still doesn't mean we didn't get to what we could. It did allow for us to play catch-up on all of those video games we had sitting around or just launched here recently. Only now we get to look forward to titles like Rock Band 4, Hellblade, and The Wither 3's DLC that are all coming. At least based on all of the video games we had to cover this week even though, like I said, it was shortened by the most recent American holiday and we took a break to play some video games. Ten More Guitar Hero Live Tracks Have Been Revealed To Us
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 8th of September 2015 - 09:00 PM ]
There have been ten more tracks added to the ever growing list of Guitar Hero Live songs that will be playable when Guitar Hero Live officially launches There is still over a month before Guitar Hero Live hits homes around the world. October 20th will creep up on us like a bad burrito and we'll be jamming out to all the songs that FreeStyleGames could cram into Guitar Hero Live's disc. Of course this will be expanded based on all of the other options Activision is forcing into Guitar Hero Live to make sure we have a well-rounded set list of songs but we'll focus completely on the disc list as that will be available for all who purchase Guitar Hero Live no matter what. At least that is the hope… With that said it looks like we have ten more tracks added into the list here for Guitar Hero Live. Read More...

Guitar Hero Live Brings A Lot More In The Way Of Vocals
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 3rd of August 2015 - 07:00 PM ]
It looks like Guitar Hero Live will have vocals in the mix as well to keep Guitar Hero Live up to snuff with its competitors It looks like Guitar Hero Live is getting something that many have wondered would be included since it was first announced; vocals. It looks like FreeStyleGames didn't want to leave any Guitar Hero fans left out or Activision wanted to make sure it could truly compete with Guitar Hero Live's competitor in the gameplay options and not just the soundtrack. No matter the case here though it looks like vocal options are making the way back into Guitar Hero Live when it hits the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PC, and mobile devices on October 20th this year. Now we just wait and see if drums are making it back in here for Guitar Hero Live too. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 7/27/15 — 7/31/15
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 31st of July 2015 - 11:00 PM ]
A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games Another week in video games is down and we are gearing up for another. More reviews and more news for all kinds of video games to come. I truly love that we were able to bookend this week with Until Dawn and had quite a few other zombie type announcements with Zombi and Advanced Warfare DLC. That is also if we miss out on the world of video games getting Mafia 3 coming with more news next week on that. I guess there will be a lot more news during Gamescom but we'll all have to wait and see as the crowds descend on all of those video games being shown out there. Read More...

Guitar Hero Live Will Let Us Rock Some Premium Shows
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 28th of July 2015 - 09:00 PM ]
Another new gameplay feature for Guitar Hero Live has been announced in the way of premium shows that can unlock even more items in Guitar Hero Live So far we've seen a few of the cool new ways that Guitar Hero Live will be changing the franchise as well as the genre of game. There are so many other things that could go on with the rhythm genre but here we are getting what are called Premium Shows for Guitar Hero Live. FreeStyleGames are trying to think outside the box and here we are getting playable concert footage or debut music videos just for the game. Not only are we going to get to play these Premium Shows in Guitar Hero Live but completing them on specific difficulties or challenges in them will also unlock other in-game things. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 7/13/15 — 7/17/15
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 17th of July 2015 - 11:10 PM ]
A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games It's been an intense last few weeks in video games and the news and I'm sorry we've missed a few recaps for the week. I blame E3 and SDCC for being so closely crammed together and there being so many new video games and experiences to have to cover. We are small but we are mighty when it comes to covering our video games. If we weren't you wouldn't have had those track listings for both Rock Band 4 and Guitar Hero Live to go through here. Guitar Hero Live Gets Ten More Tracks & A Pre-Order Incentive
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 14th of July 2015 - 07:03 PM ]
Ten more tracks are added to the ever growing list of Guitar Hero Live songs and now there is also a pre-order incentive for those who want to secure Guitar Hero Live before launch Because we all know that we need a solid Guitar Hero Live set-list to work with it looks like we have ten more tracks to add to the list of songs we can rock out to on October 20th. FreeStyleGames has their work cut out for them to do this but as long as they keep the tunes flowing for Guitar Hero Live I doubt anyone will take up issue unless the controllers begin failing out of the box. I don't think that would be their issue and more Activision's but still… None the less we have ten more tracks listed out for us all when Guitar Hero Live launches and we have that wonderful list just a bit further down for you to look at and listen to the tracks in question. Heroes Reborn Is Getting Two Games To Expand The Universe
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 13th of July 2015 - 07:00 PM ]
During the Heroes Reborn panel at SDCC it was announced that Heroes Reborn will be getting two new video games to go along with the show If you are all hyped up for Heroes Reborn to hit the small screens again in September then you should be even more hyped as we are also getting two new video games based around Heroes Reborn as well. This was all announced via trailer at SDCC 2015 as well as naming them as Heroes Reborn: Gemini and Heroes Reborn: Enigma. The first being a game hitting consoles (most likely PS4 and Xbox One) and PC while the second one will be landing on mobile devices. Read More...
