It is usually a weird thing to see, but it does look like Tormented Souls will be getting a new release for the PS4 and Xbox One after successfully releasing on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. It is weird as it does feel like a downgrade when going to the last-gen systems after PQube brought it all out before. It will allow those that missed out on Tormented Souls before to give it all a go on February 25th though. That is always the best aspect to look at so we can make sure that as many gamers can have a chance to have a go at another horror game out there. That should be the focus of it all here for now.
In addition to that, Tormented Souls will also be coming to the Switch this April 14th too. Another bit of a wait to make sure all have a chance to play this interesting-looking title out there. One that will have us playing as Caroline Walker to find two girls that have gone missing out there at Winterlake Hospital. They have gone missing and need saving from all kinds of body horrors out there. Then again, is it all real or just in our heads here? That is what Tormented Souls is looking to tell us all in the same style that some of the big classic horror games out there have done in the past. Have a look at the following trailer to see how it could all feel once it hits all of these new platforms.
Tormented Souls — Cinematic Trailer
PQube, Dual Effect, and Abstract Digital Works are excited to announce the updated release dates for Tormented Souls! The PlayStation 4 & Xbox One versions will release later this month on February 25th, 2022, with the Nintendo Switch version releasing on April 14th, 2022. Tormented Souls is available to buy and play now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S/X and Steam.
When two twin girls go missing, it's up to you — Caroline Walker — to find them. Your investigation leads you to Winterlake Hospital, an abandoned mansion turned into a hospital. Quickly, your investigation turns sideways and becomes a battle of survival against the horrible creatures that live in the dark. Will you make it out alive? Tormented Souls is a return to the classic era of fixed perspective horror survival games — inspired by games like Resident Evil and Silent Hill. Craft survival tools and weapons using the limited resources around you to keep the horrors at bay. Solve puzzles and explore Winterlake, but be aware of your surroundings — you're not alone in the dark.
Have you given Tormented Souls a play as of yet or did you need to wait for the last-gen launch to play? Do you think the visuals will be vastly downgraded for these platforms or will they be close to what we have seen so far? Are you curious on why there was a long gap between all of these releases or does it make sense with the current state of gaming? Give us all of your feedback and thoughts down in the comments and then feel free to discuss it all. If we have more to share for Tormented Souls, we will add it all to the site for you to see. Just keep a close eye on the site for all of that and much more as time moves forward.
