As if we did not already have a whole lot of Serious Sam fun out there for the PC already, here we go with a new expansion to it all. Not to any one specific title in the line that Croteam has given us already, but a new one that has Timelock Studio helping out to further expand the world and story. Here we go with Serious Sam: Siberian Mayhem that will be heading to the PC on January 25th. Yes, we have so little time to wait to be back in the mix doing exactly what Sam does best in these games. This time just in Siberia and dealing with everything that will bring about too. My guess is more of the harsh weather and setting that this part of the world is known for. Also all of those massive beasts and creatures we know the IP to throw at us all non-stop.
If it feels like this one is coming out of nowhere for you, you are not alone as it feels that way to us too. Thankfully, Serious Sam: Siberian Mayhem will be its own little section of the world that does not look to require any of the other titles in the mix to be able to enjoy. Granted, you may have no clue as to what is going on in the game without touching any of the other Serious Sam titles but that would be on you. That or you can just go in and look for the insane shooter that it is and just enjoy everything it has to offer up when it does launch out there. Have a look and get ready for that day to come at us all hard and fast.
Serious Sam: Siberian Mayhem — Reveal
Coming to Steam January 25
Welcome back to the world of Serious Sam in ‘Siberian Mayhem’ — a new standalone chapter in the adventures of ‘Serious’ Sam Stone. Make your way through the vast Russian landscapes on a quest to catch up with the traitorous General Brand, who remains one step ahead of Sam at every turn. The road is long, and there is oh so much to see.
Co-developed by Timelock Studio and Croteam, Serious Sam: Siberian Mayhem presents an expanded look at a familiar journey full of forgotten stories, unexplored places, and Sam's trademark guns-blazing battles against Mental's Horde. Join the fight, comrade!
Have you been pining for more of the Serious Sam fun out there or are you still locked into the last major title in the run? Do you like that this one can be its own thing or would you rather have it built into things you have been experiencing for a while now? Could we see more "expansions" like this one in the future or will this be a one-and-done thing to help the studios keep the balls rolling? Give us your thoughts on all of this and more down in the comments and then feel free to discuss it all. If we have more to share for Serious Sam: Siberian Mayhem, know it will all be here. All you need to do is keep checking in for all of that and much more.
