Sherlock Holmes
A new developer diary for Sherlock Holmes Chapter One is here to give us a view on how the team is crafting the story for Sherlock Holmes
In addition to the gameplay and investigations in Sherlock Holmes Chapter One, it has been definitely let known that we are going to get a rather dynamic story in the mix of it all. This is something that Frogwares has done well for a while now and there is a lot to live up to with the various other stories and media we have had for the IP so far. This is why they are digging in for it all and getting us all ready for a new story for the Sherlock Holmes mythos. Now we have a look at just some of the fun techniques the team is using to help enhance it all and get us further into the mindset of the characters and world. All with the latest developer diary we have to share.
You can get a better look at it all down below, but it does look like they have been trying to snag some of the elements that worked in the Sherlock Holmes films and BBC shows out there. There are also a few highlights in there that most of us will miss if it was not pointed out, but will help make the scenes. All in how Sherlock Holmes and John are framed in the scenes and how the camera will shift to help explain the mental states of the characters. Little things like this should help us all feel more like the detective and see how the isolation and investigations will flow. Have a look at the following video to get some gameplay and see just what we are talking about here.

Do you think this will feel like the Sherlock Holmes films and shows out there or will it just get close enough for now? Do you normally catch these little elements that help convey these feelings or is it normally lost on you in general? How deep do you think that the story will go and is this more hype than a true showing of things? Let us all know down in the comments and then feel free to discuss it all if you so wish. For more on Sherlock Holmes Chapter One, keep checking back in on the site. We will keep sharing what we can for it all and should keep it going up to and past the launch of the game.
