The State Heist Is On For Us With Hood: Outlaws & Legends

Hood

A new mode is coming for Hood: Outlaws & Legends that will have us teaming up again with Hood and pals out there

Get the band back together for Hood: Outlaws & Legends, as we have a whole new game mode to go in on for the team to work together on. That is more on the literal sense of things with Sumo Digital giving us a new mode that will have us only playing on the Co-Op side of it all. I know I have been looking forward to something like this since Hood first hit the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC so I did not have to compete with so many others out there. This new mode, called State Heist, makes it feel like the way I always imagined the game being since it was first announced. Just our crew stealing the things out there and trying to make it out with our lives in tow. The classic way things should have gone.

I this new mode for Hood, we will take our team of four out into the map to steal a massive State treasure that is hidden out there. We will only be competing against the AI and environment in this one and not another team at all. All so we can steal the loot and bring it back to our lift that will extract the chest as we defend it from the masses out there. To help out with all of this, we will have the ability to resurrect our characters in Hood by having one of our teammates collect our medallion left behind and taking it to a captured place to bring us back into the match. It is one more thing to worry about but if we are able to keep hidden, it should be something easy to compensate for. At least it looks like it should be.

Hood: Outlaws & Legends — Free New ‘State Heist’ PvE Mode

Hood: Outlaws & Legends introduces a new stealth-focused PvE Mode: State Heist!

Hood: Outlaws & Legends, the multiplayer heist game from Sumo Digital and Focus Home Interactive on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, introduces an exciting new PvE game mode today in a free update.

Sneak to survive an even deadlier State

Named State Heist, this PvE mode replaces the enemy player team with deadlier opposition from the State and introduces challenging new mechanics, emphasizing stealth and cooperation. In place of opposing players, your team of four is pitted against a far more dangerous and responsive State with limitations on respawning that creates a completely new dynamic — one that will require a more careful and methodical approach for success.

Execute the perfect State Heist to get the Shadow Lords costumes in a new event

To celebrate the State Heist launch, Focus and Sumo introduce the Survive the State event. Players who successfully steal the chest in State Heist without dying will receive the new Shadow Lords costume for the character they were playing — be tenacious and you’ll get them all! The rewards will be unlocked when the event ends on August 2nd.

A treasure vault of exciting free content is still to come

The Hood journey is just getting started! Since release, Focus and Sumo have been actively working on the game’s improvement by listening carefully to community feedback to offer the best heist experience possible. The game has already received a number of gameplay updates and tweaks, while players can look forward to even more free content over the course of this year. Season 1: Samhain is just around the corner, bringing a free, game-changing new outlaw, a full rework of the winch system, tons of cosmetics, events, and much more.

Are you going to get back in on Hood for this mode or will you be looking for the other extras to come down the line? Do you think the Sheriff will always show up while defending the extraction or can we take them out and make life easier at this point? Do you think we will have multiple capture points in the map here or will it only be two out there? Let us all know down in the comments and then feel free to discuss it all. As more for Hood: Outlaws & Legends is out there, we will share it all here. Just be sure to keep checking back for all of that and much more. We know there will be much more already.
