Ratchet & Clank
Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart will offer up a few new weapons and more ways for Ratchet & Clank to traverse the new dimensions they have
All the weapons are finally on display for Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart as June 11th seems to keep crawling closer and closer to us all. Not only the weapons but a little more on how the characters in the game will be moving around and, thankfully, keeping the same movement schemes in the game. Insomniac Games had me a little worried there with it looking like Ratchet and Rivet could have different things to try to nail down. Now that confusion is lifted just a bit more with the explanation of how we will traverse this Ratchet & Clank and use all of those sweet, sweet weapons along the way. All while feeling the power of them all with the PS5 DualSense controller too. Something that is not all that shocking now.
A lot of what we have to see here is just a bit more fun for this Ratchet & Clank, but one of the things I was alluding to above comes down to the dash movement we will have here. It is apparently just that for both versions of the character but it also sounds like we will be "phasing" through the world so we might be a little harder to hit besides getting that little extra burst. Rivet was the only one to highlight this before, and now we get to see Ratchet finally doing the same. All while jumping through portals and the other basics. All capped off with a montage of the new and old weapons coming for Ratchet & Clank here. There is not much on the way of finer details on that besides the fact that each will have some functionality with the controller. So we will just let you watch as they all fire off and get us ready to wait just a few more weeks from now to experience it all.
Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart — Weapons & Traversal
Welcome to Zurkon Jr's Almost Launch Party! In this first of three videos, Junior shares some of the weapons and traversal techniques in Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart. Zap, freeze, bounce, and blow your enemies away with this loaded arsenal. Feeling the power through the DualSense Wireless controller.
Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart arrives exclusively to PS5 consoles on June 11, 2021.
Did you think that we were going to have different modes of traversal between the characters in this Ratchet & Clank and are you glad to see it will only be animation changes now? Do you think it would have been better to have Ratchet and Rivet function differently or would that have been confusing when needing to hop between them both in the game? Can you imagine how these weapons will function with the new controller or does it all just seem like it could be different rumbles based on what we do get to see here? Let us all know down in the comments and then feel free to discuss it all. We will have more for Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, as is apparent by this video, and we will have it on the site for you as soon as it is live. Just keep checking back for all of that and much more.
