Sherlock Holmes Chapter One Has Some More Action Gameplay To Inspect

Sherlock

The first gameplay for Sherlock Holmes Chapter One is here to show how there will be more action for this Sherlock Holmes than expected

If you had your preconceived notions on how Sherlock Holmes Chapter One was going to play out there, you might need to start rethinking things now. I say this as Frogwares has given us the first real bit of gameplay for the game and it does not flow the way that I was expecting to see it go. I say that in the best way, as I thought this Sherlock Holmes title was going to go with the basic narrative style with little action mixed in. This one looks like we are going to get a perfect blending between all of the aspects of the character and his abilities. It makes more sense with the fact that these are the early years of his career.

This is definitely the grittier Sherlock that we have enjoyed in other forms out there so far. There will be that investigation and "social combat" as we should have expected, but there will be some bare-knuckle brawling with some gunplay mixed in there too. It looks like we will get to see some of the good old Sherlock Holmes investigation skills mixed into that with a bit of "bullet time" to find targets for the best use of things. All of which makes me see this as a whole lot more fun than just talking and looking at items all around the game's world. I am vastly more excited for all of this to come at us and hope it is sooner instead of later.
