We were hoping that it was not going to happen, but it looks like Returnal is now delayed a bit. A bit being a month or so and not any of the huge ones we have seen other games go through. Now instead of Returnal hitting us on the PS5 on March 19th, we are going to be seeing this game hit on April 30th. A little over a month when we dial into it, but whatever it takes to make it a perfect game for us all to enjoy is always welcomed here. Thankfully, this one was not over-hyped to where we are going to have the backlash for the delay and thus have a better title.
This delay is all so Housemarque can take more time to "polish" the game some more. The most generic term thrown around for delays out there but I'll assume it means to allow for more bug checking and fixing in Returnal before launch. I do wish we were given more details than this generic term thrown around, but I doubt that will ever happen. Nonetheless, we have to wait just a bit more for Returnal to drop out there and I hope it is all for the better. We will get to know better if we get new gameplay footage out there as we wait just a bit longer.
Update: Returnal has a new release date of April 30, 2021. SIE and Housemarque have made the decision to move the release date in order to give the team extra time to continue to polish the game to the level of quality players expect from Housemarque.— PlayStation (@PlayStation) January 28, 2021

Does this delay bother you all that much or will it just be something we will always need to deal with in the industry? What do you think they are fully polishing up for Returnal here and will it be something we will ever notice? Would you like to know the finer details of what is being polished in these delays or do you just like ignoring and waiting until it launches? Let us all know down in the comments and then feel free to discuss it all as you will. We will keep the Returnal updates coming to you as best and fast as we can. Be sure to keep checking in for all of that.
