Half-Life: Alyx Will Now Give You Some Extra Commentary To Enjoy

Half-Life

A new update for Half-Life: Alyx is here to give us a little more insight into how this Half-Life was made

I know that everyone out there is looking for more in the realm of Half-Life. More of it along the lines of finally getting a full third game to it all but it seems like Valve will keep us wanting all of that. What they are not holding us back from is a little more in the mix of the VR title Half-Life: Alyx. Just as we have seen in the past, here we go with a new commentary update that will let us dive deeper into how the game was made by playing the game a bit more. It may not be for everyone, but it is here and out for free for those that want to give it a go.

For those looking to get in on this extra stuff for Half-Life: Alyx, you can look forward to over three hours of audio mixed in to enjoy. All of which will come up when finding and accessing the 170+ points of interest and then interacting with them. From there we will get the extra treat to how things were made, the reasons behind choices in mechanics, and much more. It may not be a third Half-Life title, but it is something to enjoy and maybe give us a little hope that the team wants to keep going with it all. Here is a little taste of what is in there for us to enjoy without the headset right now.

Half-Life: Alyx — Commentary Update

Developer commentary is now available to all owners of Half-Life: Alyx, and features over three hours of audio from the team covering every aspect of design. The Developer Commentary also supports subtitles in over 10 languages.

Players may access the more than 170 points of interest by starting a new game with Developer Commentary enabled. As the commentary contains significant spoilers, it is highly recommended to play the game to its conclusion before playing through with commentary.

Will you be going back in to see more for this Half-Life or will it be something you skip here? Could this lead to us seeing more in the franchise or is it just something to keep the VR interest going? Will it help keep the flow going in it all in this way or will it be a little more distracting when going through the world? Let us all know down in the comments and then feel free to discuss it all here. If there is anything more for Half-Life: Alyx, we will share it all here. Be sure to keep coming back here for all of that and much more.
