The day has finally come and the PS5 is out there in the wild and with that comes games like Sackboy: A Big Adventure too. Sure, this title is also coming to the PS4 too but we are going to focus on the next-gen version as it is one of the few launch titles that will be out there too. That and I am sure that Sumo Digital wants us all to experience this new Sackboy adventure so we can see many more to come in the future. All of which you can do now as it has launched and we have a new trailer to look at for the game too. One that shows off a bit more of the story and the big villain we will be taking on after he makes a big mistake. Leaving the one Sackboy alive and out there.
We have gone over the story for Sackboy: A Big Adventure just a bit in the past, and this one gives us a little more on that too. The bigger thing is the look at the main villain and their motivations in the game world. All of which leads to the reason we have all of the gameplay to experience and see as well. All of which look about the same as we have seen in the past for the IP but that is not specifically a bad thing. It worked and if things get changed up to make a new level or experience, that works for me too. You can see a bit more of all of that down below and then pick up the game right now if you want to get in or have another title to experience on the new console.
Sackboy: A Big Adventure — Launch Trailer
It’s launch day! It’s incredibly exciting to see Sackboy: A Big Adventure released and players to finally be able to experience the little fuzzy fella’s biggest adventure yet! There is so much to enjoy in this game, it’s absolutely jam-packed! As well as the main story levels where you will face off against the dastardly Vex, we also have loads of side-content and challenges that will really put your platforming skills to the test. Before we give you some tips and tricks to set you on your way with Sackboy and his friends, we wanted to remind you that the full online multiplayer functionality within Sackboy: A Big Adventure will be coming via a patch, a few weeks after launch. This will also include cross-gen support so none of your friends need to miss out on the fun whether they are on PS5 or PS4! Until then, from today you’ll still be able to enjoy Sackboy with your household in offline couch co-op party play. 2-4 player parties can play through the whole game including unmissable co-op only levels.
For those folk who take up the offer of a free upgrade from the PS4 version to the PS5 version, we will also be adding in the ability to transfer your save too!
I wanted to take this opportunity to share a few tips and tricks to help you tackle some of the toughest challenges that you’ll encounter on your journey through Craftworld: The Knitted Knight Trials.
Will you be adding Sackboy: A Big Adventure to your list of titles here or will you be skipping this one for now? Do you think it looks like we will get the same formula again but with different levels or will it be a vastly different experience? Will it flow the same on the PS4 and PS5 or will one be vastly different over the other? Let us have those thoughts down in the comments and then feel free to discuss it all. If we have more to share for Sackboy, we will share it all here for you. Be sure to keep checking in for those updates and many more.
