Here we go with one more big release date announcement and this one for The Medium here for the Xbox Series X and PC. While it would have been perfect to drop this one for Halloween, it makes sense to know it would not make that given the platform options Bloober Team is giving for the game. Thankfully, this does mean that we will have another title on the new system before the end of the year. All because The Medium is now set to release on December 10th for us to split worlds and try to take down The Maw. The currently listed big-bad of the game here.
We have the date announcement and now we have a little more to look at for The Medium to go right along with it. Not specifically gameplay but some of the environments in the world and some of the atmospheric music we will have looming over us all. It sounds the right level of creepy and looks like it will add in just what we expect for The Medium here. I am curious to see and hear if it will shift depending on which side of the veil we are currently on or will it be consistent throughout. We will know soon though.
The Medium — Release Date Reveal
The day when you will finally uncover a grim and unsettling reality, a different world that reflects ours like a dark mirror. As Marianne, you will encounter a mystery that only a medium can solve.
December 10th, 2020 — the day when The Medium launches for PC, Xbox Series X and Series S.
Watch a brand new video that gives you a closer look at the dual-reality world, showcasing the game's dark art style inspired by Polish artist Zdzisław Beksiński, and his dystopian surrealist work. Bloober Team’s artists have closely studied Beksiński’s paintings to bring the visually distinct and nightmarish atmosphere to life, pairing it with an evocative score from Arkadiusz Reikowski and Akira Yamaoka to create a truly eerie experience.
Discover a dark mystery only a medium can solve. Explore the real world and the spirit world at the same time. Use your psychic abilities to solve puzzles spanning both worlds, uncover deeply disturbing secrets, and survive encounters with The Maw — a monster born from an unspeakable tragedy.
Coming December 10th to PC, Xbox Series X & Series S. Available now for pre-order!
