Deathloop
New gameplay for Deathloop is here to give us a bit of a taste on how Deathloop will play as well as a winning strategy to take
It may feel weird after some other news about Bethesda and Microsoft cutting a deal, but we have more gameplay for Deathloop to show off how this game will look on the PS5 and PC when it launches. It is still slated for those platforms only and Arkane is still working on it for next year at some point sot here is that news. The bigger thing here is that we have some new gameplay for Deathloop that kind of highlights a bit better on what we will actually be doing in the game. I will say that early information did not grab my attention enough but here we go with something that shows how cool and interesting this game could potentially be. Even if the visuals are just not there yet.
As you can see in the following video, we will be in a time loop where the only presumed way to end it is to kill off eight specific characters in it all. Hence the name Deathloop. Given how they are spread out on the island and the time crunch you are under, it looks like we will have ways to get them all to group up to speed the process up a bit. In this video, we see how we will need to replay the loop a few times to get the information on the two targets and then set up the events that will make them both be in closer proximity. Before this, I was under the impression that the time loop used in Deathloop was just there to explain how and why the character keeps coming back in. This does a great job of showing how we will use causality in the game to become a more efficient killer. Given that we are also being hunted and have other concerns in the loop, it makes for something we will need to master.
Deathloop — Gameplay Trailer 2: Two Birds One Stone
24 Hours. 8 Targets. 1 Rival Assassin.
See how Colt tackles the problem of getting two Visionaries – Aleksis and Egor – in the same place at the same time. There are 8 Visionaries responsible for keeping the time-loop going. 8 people that have to die to make things right, and thanks to the time-loop, you’ve only got one day to take them all out or the loop resets. But the targets are spread out across the island and are often only accessible at certain points throughout the day. So how can you possibly eliminate them all in time? The solution won’t be easy, but with some practice (and quite a few resets) you’ll be able to solve the puzzle of Blackreef and break the loop.
If At First You Don’t Succeed… Die, Die Again.
Have you been onboard for Deathloop since it was first announced or did this just get you looking at the title for the first time? Do you think we will be able to get all of the eight targets in one place with some true manipulation of events or will it be only in smaller clusters like this? How long do you think it will be before we see this game on the Xbox Series X or will it be one of the last titles made that will cross platforms now? Let us have all of those thoughts and opinions down in the comment and then feel free to discuss it all. When we have more for Deathloop, we will share it all here. Just be sure to keep checking in for all of that and much more.
