Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit is looking to bring Mario Kart into the real world with some new ways to race the cars
It looks like we will soon be able to put some of those old Mario Kart debates to bed with the announcement of the upcoming Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit coming to us all on October 16th here. That would be the hope more or less with the new game from Nintendo, but I have a feeling it is only going to add more with how this one is changing things up. Not only will it be bringing us a new game to play, but it also is bringing the race into the real world with actual karts to race around instead of just in the virtual world. All of which viewed and controlled through the Switch. All of which is something I have been waiting to see happen in a Switch title to date.
You can see it in action just a bit lower, but in Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit we will have our cart with Mario or Luigi to place on the ground after setting up the course with real world markers. We will then get to drive that course and avoid all of the physical items in the way while still using all of the normal obstacles we would in a Mario Kart game. It looks like the karts will be stopped and slowed based on what is going on in the digital space. All with the amazing AR display showing us a mix of the real course and the digital one made. It looks like it could be a whole lot of fun. Although I would love to see if we can implement some crazy jumps and other items that translate into the game too.

Are you as excited as I am for this new Mario Kart game or is it another toys-to-life title that will pass rather quickly? Do you think we will get other characters to drive as or will it stick to the brothers here? Could we set up some crazy tracks that will work in the digital space or will it always be rendered as a flat drive no matter the case? Let us have all of those answers down in the comments. We will keep the coverage coming for Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit and when there is more to share, we will share it here. Be sure to keep checking back in for all of that and much more.
