Psychonauts 2 Takes Us Into Even More Trippy Worlds In The Latest Trailer

New gameplay for Psychonauts 2 is here with some of the soothing vocals from Jack Black playing a role in Psychonauts 2 too

You have been wanting new video for Psychonauts 2 and now we are here to share more of that fresh from the Xbox Showcase that just took place. While we still need to wait until 2021 to get to play the game on the Xbox One, PS4, and PC, we do have something new to look at for the game and the announcement from Double Fine that it will be upgraded for the Xbox Series X when it launches. No word on if the PS5 will get the same treatment, but I have a feeling that will not be the case. Nonetheless, we have more to look at for Psychonauts 2 along with the vocal styling of Jack Black singing a song that we can presume will be in the final game.

The new Psychonauts 2 is rather cool and shows off some new areas, enemies, and maybe abilities Raz will get to use in the game. I am fully excited for it, but I know I was a let down a bit to see an introduction for it all with Mr. Black in a Brutal Legend shirt looking as 'metal' as always. That was my hopes instead of new gameplay for Psychonauts 2 here. That does not detract from the cool new looks we have for the game, just a personal thought I had as I was getting my excitement back up for this title. It definitely looks like the team has put a whole lot of love into this one and I know I cannot wait for this year to be over and we get to dive in just as Raz does here.

Psychonauts 2 — Brain In A Jar

Psychonauts 2 releases in 2021 on Xbox Game Pass, Windows PC, Mac, Linux, and PS4. Best of all, it’ll be Optimized for Xbox Series X!

Psychonauts 2 is a mind-bending trip through the strange worlds hiding inside our brains. Freshly-minted special agent/acrobat extraordinaire Razputin “Raz” Aquato returns to unpack emotional baggage and expand mental horizons. Along the way, he’ll help new friends (like this magical mote of light voiced by Jack Black) and unravel dark mysteries about the Psychonauts and his own family.

Are you still excited for Psychonauts 2 or will it take a bit more than this to get you all the way in? Do you suspect that the PS5 will not be getting the upgrade given how the development of this title has gone between crowdfunding to the publisher now? Were you hoping for another Brutal Legend title or is that out of the window at this point? Let us all know down in the comments what is on your mind and then feel free to keep the discussion going. If there is more for Psychonauts 2, it will be up on the site. I have a feeling we will see a whole lot more in the coming months and I will keep my excitement rolling for all of that.
