The first screenshot for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 is here to give us a look at how this next installment for the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. franchise will look

Here we go with the first screenshot for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 to take in and enjoy here. It has been a bit since we first heard that the second chapter of this franchise was going to be coming to us since the Shadow Of Chernobyl title we all had. As long as GSC Game World is able to keep on top of it all as we head toward the 2021 release window. That is supposed to be over on the PC, PS4, and Xbox One (assuming since it is the Unreal 4 Engine) as of the last check we did for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2, but that could all be changed at any point. It is a time of uncertainty and we just need to keep rolling with it all for now. Thank the gods for all of the distractions we have now.

The screenshot we have for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2, though, does not reveal too much about the game besides the fact that it is looking like it will fit right in to what we all know from before. In terms of look and feel of the environment, as it is just a forest setting with a few broken down vehicles and a distortion in the sky to signify something. If anything, it does give us a look at how the fog and lighting in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 are going to look. There also seems to be a nice little motion blur added around a few elements to give a better real-world feel to it all. This could all be just how the image has been processed, but still worth a note as of right now.

The world was never the same after that. Millions of players rushed into the Zone. Driven by the desire to uncover mysteries, you overcame difficulties, hunted for treasures, fought monsters, and joined factions.

You changed to become the real Stalkers.

You made this day forever special.

Being inspired by everything you do [including arts, stories, cosplays, and mods], we fully understand we can’t let you down. The second chapter of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. saga will be our most ambitious game so far. It will live to the legendary legacy.

A lot of you are joining social isolation now. That’s why today, on a very special occasion, we are ready to slightly uncover the mystery of what we are working on. This is the first glimpse of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2.

Consider it as our humble present, with more to come in 2020.
