Resident Evil
A new comparison for Resident Evil 3 is here to give a better feel for how Resident Evil 3 has changed over the last twenty years
Earlier in the week, we had a good look at some actual gameplay from the upcoming Resident Evil 3. April 3rd cannot get here fast enough for me on this one. That is why I am glad to see that we have a bit more gameplay to take in and enjoy from Capcom. More so when we get to see how the new version of the game will compare to the original Resident Evil 3: Nemesis from over twenty years ago. Sure, that means we are going to see a lot of the dated graphics here, but it will let us see how some of the areas in the game have been recreated or changed to induce even more fears for us. Not only that but how the big bad of the game has been upgraded too.
While it is nice to see that the levels of Resident Evil 3 have been opened up a bit more for the areas it should be, the bigger looks have to come with the Nemesis. Not only in the visual design has he been changed, but he has a few more tricks up his grotesque sleeves and the fact that you will not be safe from him at all. That is, he will burst into the safe rooms of Resident Evil 3 if you try to use the trick to keep him out and take a breather. That could lead to a whole lot of intense gameplay. It could also get a bit tiring if one is not allowed to sit back and just take in the world. I do hope there is a good balance between all of this in the final build of it all.
Resident Evil 3 — 1999 Vs. 2020 Gameplay Comparison
Let's play the Resident Evil 3 remake (2020) and Resident Evil 3: Nemesis (1999). Capcom producer Peter Fabiano joins the PlayStation crew for a dive into how the stunning remake recreates iconic moments, characters, and bio-weapons from the original PlayStation classic. The RE3 remake hits PS4 April 3.
How are you feeling about Resident Evil 3 as it has been upgraded here? Do you think it will add to the tension or detract from it to have the more open layouts in certain areas? How do you feel about the Nemesis being able to pursue us no matter where we are in the game? Let us all know down in the comments and then feel free to discuss it all at length. For more on Resident Evil 3, be sure to keep coming back here. We will try to keep it all up on the site for you to see and enjoy. That is the goal at the very least.
