In some of the least shocking news out there, it looks like it is officially announced that Cyberpunk 2077 will be seeing those next-gen systems and that Xbox One gamers will not need to think about buying the game twice. That, CD Projekt RED has made the statement that there will be a free upgrade for the game so that Xbox One fans can play on the Xbox Series X for free. There is no word on if this will also be the case for PS4 to PS5 owners who pick up Cyberpunk 2077, but it is something good for some out there. All of you PC gamers will not have much to worry about unless you need to upgrade your systems to enjoy the game.
You can spy the announcement just below if you were in any doubt that Cyberpunk 2077 was going to make the jump. It would be extremely odd if the PlayStation was not going to get the same treatment, but things do happen. As if both systems have not been stated to be backward capable already… Not the point here, but at least some out there will be able to fully enjoy Cyberpunk 2077 this year. Hopefully, we will find out soon that we all will get that treatment and that is why there was the delay in the game happened. All so they can be sure to hit both generations at the same time and not let any of us down at all.
Did you expect that Cyberpunk 2077 was not going to have this added in for free or did you expect to have to buy two versions of the game? Do you suspect that the PS4 will get the same update after the consoles drop or will it only be the Xbox systems? Do you think this will be more than a basic update to make it just run on the other systems or will it fully update to a full version on the next-gen systems? Let us all know down in the comments and then feel free to discuss them all. For more on Cyberpunk 2077, be sure to keep swinging by here. We will keep the updates all coming at you as best as we can.
