Just when you thought you were getting over of the film fatigue, we have Avengers: Damage Control on the way to suck us all back in and in a whole VR setting. Not just any VR, mind you, but a fully immersive experience that ILMxLAB has put together to work with The Void locations out there. So, not only a fun VR thing that places you next to other Avengers out there, but to place you in a place that brings on a full 4D kind of experience with sets, heat, wind, and other things to give you more of a tactile experience. Although, it does look like we are supposed to be in an enclosed suit in the experience to where that should not be a factor. Semantics and all I guess.
In any instance, this is a whole new VR experience popping off on October 18th at locations all over that will have us taking on some other events from the Avengers films. This time we are teamed up with Shuri and testing out some new Wakandan/Stark tech. Things go sideways and we will need to head out to save the day with others like Ant-Man, Wasp, and Doctor Strange. Something that sounds like will have the actors reprising the roles to give us all the full Avengers experience. It does sound like a fun thing to go through, as all of the other experiences The Void has, and I know I am looking forward to booking some tickets to go experience and play in this new virtual space.
Avengers: Damage Control — Official Teaser Trailer
Shuri has recruited your team of four to test her latest prototype design, a powerful new suit that combines Wakandan and Stark Industries technologies. When a familiar enemy from the Avengers' past seeks to steal the technology for themselves, your team must stop them before they unleash an oppressive new age upon the planet. Fight alongside some of your favorite Avengers like Doctor Strange, Wasp, Ant-Man, and more in a race to protect the world. Suit up, step in, and save the world in the ultimate Marvel Studios immersive experience.
Launching exclusively at The VOID locations for a limited time beginning October 18.
Have you been over the whole Avengers kick over the last few years or will this bring you right back in? Do you think this will flow a lot like the new Iron Man game that is coming to VR or will it be vastly different given the location and setting? Does any of that matter and you will still be jumping in nonetheless and start punching and shooting your way through everything? Let us all know what you are thinking down in the comments and then feel free to discuss everything about it. We will keep eyes on Avengers: Damage Control to see what updates we can get for it. If we have something, we will obviously share it all here with you. Just be on the lookout for all of that and much more.
