We are getting closer to the release of Borderlands 3, and with that, we are getting more of the planets we will be running amuck on. The latest being Athenas and its little tranquil slice of the universe that I am sure is just a facade that Gearbox wants us all to believe. It never seems like it would ever be that easy in Borderlands, but maybe we are wrong here. Nonetheless, here we go again with more to look at for the game and a whole new planet we will get to explore. Even if it may feel a bit out of sorts just before its debut on September 13th here.
As you will see, Athenas looks to be more like a peaceful monk location in Borderlands 3 with all kinds of mountain ranges and peaks we will need to ascend. There are more secrets being held in these places that we will need to understand in the game, so I guess we should get ready for just that. Someone built all of this before humans moved in, and I am guessing there is a hidden vault on the planet too. It would not be perfect for a Borderlands game if that were not the case at all. Have a look and see what secrets may be held here. Not that it is all too revealing at this point.
A misty, tranquil planet that has recently attracted the wrong kind of attention. Athenas is mostly uninhabited, save for a sect of monks known as the Order of the Impending Storm who have made their home in the high peaks of the mountains. What secrets do they guard here, inside ancient walls that were built long before humans set foot on Athenas?
Do you have any new thoughts on the lands here for Borderlands 3 based on these new images and planet? Do you think that there will be something most sinister hidden away here or is it all as it seems? What other planets are you looking forward to in the universe and do you think you will get to experience them all? Let us all know down in the comments and then feel free to discuss. When we have more for Borderlands 3 to share, you know it will all be here. Just be sure to keep checking back in for all of that and much more.
