The Surge
A new cinematic trailer for The Surge 2 is here to give us one more feel for how The Surge 2 may play out
The hype train is still rolling for The Surge 2 as we have another cinematic trailer to look at fresh out of E3. Sadly, you read that correctly as I did say cinematic and not actual gameplay. Something that feels like a misstep on Deck 13's side of things as this would be one of the times to try and highlight actual gameplay. You know, something that many of us have not been able to see for The Surge 2 yet. The game is still launching on September 24th for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. I do hope we get something new to truly experience as we are all sizzle and no substance at this point.
That all said, it looks like the world of The Surge will be expanding much further than we had in the first title. It looks like it will also be assumed that our hero will be tortured by more of the past and will be hunting things down along that path. I am also hoping that we get to truly use the mounted drone gun as we get to see here. I'll let you have at it, though, so you can start to form your own thoughts on it all. Then sit back and wait for some actual gameplay to help sell me on The Surge 2 before the launch date comes and goes. Only a few more months and a few more events going on around the world to do just that.
The Surge 2 — E3 Trailer
The Surge 2 smashes towards release with an incredible new E3 cinematic trailer.
The Surge 2 will continue Deck 13 and Focus Home Interactive’s excellent Action-RPG series on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on September 24. In a brand new, gorgeous cinematic trailer featuring The Day Is My Enemy by The Prodigy, get a glimpse of all the new features, stories, and enemies coming in this violent sci-fi sequel.
Inside the high walls of Jericho city, trapped in a technological apocalypse that threatens to consume everyone within, our hero fights to survive and uncover the truth of the disaster. Cult members hopped up on drugs, nanomachines, looters, and security forces will try to stop you wherever you go while a mysterious girl leads you to parts unknown.
This plays out on a backdrop of a world on the brink of simultaneous total collapse and technological ascendency. Self-evolving nanobeasts crush buildings with swipes of their massive claws while the downtrodden, infatuated with machines through malfunctioning implants and rising religion, roam the streets in packs. The rich and wealthy exist above it all, while hunters try to capture their valuable nano-prey and what remains of the military maintains a flimsy order.
This is the world of The Surge 2. Have a very safe day.
