Mutant Year Zero
A new and massive level of gameplay for Mutant Year Zero: Road To Eden has been shown off recently and gives us more insight into Mutant Year Zero’s Sea Titans map
Last week we had a nice little look at Mutant Year Zero: Road To Eden's Sea Titans map from the game. By nice little I mean we had about twenty minutes of gameplay to watch from The Bearded Ladies for the map. It is little as we are back at the same map but this time Funcom is driving and showing us about an hour's worth of footage for Mutant Year Zero in that same location. It is apparently a lot larger than we all would think. I will not shake a stick at it as bigger can be better and given the detail placed in so far, we know it will be filled with so much to see and explore.
This is a different look at the same fight with a bit more of an expanded view of things in Mutant Year Zero. Before we were able to see as stealth and divide and conquer tactics were used. Here we get to see what happens when you try to just bulrush through things. It can make for a truly different experience as well as open up a few more things on the map. Thankfully, this also goes in to show how we will be upgrading and swapping out things for the characters along the way. Also a bit on just how the game map will be when all is said and done for December 4th.
Mutant Year Zero: Road To Eden — Sea Titans Demo
Jens Erik from the Funcom community team sits down to play the Sea Titans map of Mutant Year Zero: Road To Eden, and demonstrating MYZ’s blend of real-time stealth and tactical combat.
I am glad to see that The Bearded Ladies did go out of their way to make sure Mutant Year Zero had a direct path to follow, but gives the option to go out and explore on our own. If we bunker down on normal mode we should be able to get from start to end in about 15 hours. If we do not go that route, who knows how long it could be or how powerful the characters can get. Well, the developers, but it definitely looks like Mutant Year Zero: Road To Eden will have all of those options in there. Now if only we were able to make our own character and play them too…
Do you have any new thoughts on the Sea Titans map for Mutant Year Zero: Road To Eden after all of this or does this just make you ready to play your way. How much focus do you think there truly will be to go and explore or will it be distractions to keep us from the game's end? What other mutants do you expect to see here based on what was stated and reported as not happening? Let us and the world know what you are thinking down in the comments and then feel free to discuss. For more on Mutant Year Zero: Road To Eden, be sure to keep checking in here. We will keep all of the updates flowing out there as fast as we can.
