A Way Out
Just ahead of A Way Out launching we have a new trailer to show off a few other parts of A Way Out that we have yet to see before this Friday
As if we have not seen enough for A Way Out already, we have yet another gameplay trailer to try and sell us more on the game. I know it can be a hard sell a bit as Hazelight Studios did make this a co-op only title, but they are trying and we can all look for the title on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC on March 23rd. At least look for it and still try to figure out if you are open to the six to eight-hour adventure with all kinds of branching based on actions and choices made. A Way Out is not one of those branching narrative titles like other developers make out there, but it is part of the core of the game. At least as it has all been said so far.
If you want to have another video to look at to try and get you to buy A Way Out, then just look below. It has a few new scenes, but more or less goes into the core adventure and mechanics of the game. Have a look nonetheless and get ready to pick it up or play it with a friend in a few days from now. It only takes one player to own the game for each of you to play A Way Out. So, you could go halfsies with a buddy as only one needs it.
A Way Out — Game Trailer
From Hazelight Studios, creators of Brothers – A Tale of Two Sons comes an exclusively co-op adventure, unlike anything you’ve played before. Join Vincent and Leo, two inmates who must work together to escape in an action-packed story.
Your path to freedom will require you to solve puzzles, complete minigames, talk, shoot, fight, sneak, drive, and run as you navigate the dangers inside the prison walls and beyond.
I will say that there are some great new shots and gameplay in A Way Out that have yet to be used in other games out there. For instance, the whole hospital scene we have had from before and other parts like this. Things like that make the whole industry move forward. Sadly, I think the requirement to have two players all the time will be the downfall of A Way Out. That is the main reason I am still not certain on picking it up as I enjoy playing alone. The story and action of the game make me want to play it, but I have a feeling I would be sitting around waiting for a friend to join in for too long that it will feel more like a $30 coaster I just picked up.
Are you still planning on picking up A Way Out or are you stuck in the same place I am with the need for co-op? Do you think that will harm the sales of the game or will it make it a cult classic for those out there who do want to play a game that way? What is to stop players from going halfsies on the game or will that aspect have some kind of limitation to sell more games? Let us have those thoughts and feelings down in the comments and then discuss. As we get more for A Way Out, we will update the site with it. Just stick close by so you can see it all.
