Not Everything Is Staying Buried In Assassin’s Creed Origins

Assassin’s Creed

The next DLC for Assassin’s Creed Origins is about here and we have our first taste of what it will be adding to Assassin’s Creed Origins in terms of story

We are on the verge of the next major DLC for Assassin’s Creed Origins to drop on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC, which means we have another trailer to look at to get us all hyped up for this. If you are not already at least. You have until tomorrow (3/13/18) to get all hyped up for this new DLC as Ubisoft will be dropping it then and having us take on some undead enemies in the game now. It is part of the Assassin’s Creed Origins Season Pass so you huge fans out there most likely already have this queued up for download, but for those still figuring out if they want to add it in, we have a new trailer to look at.

In addition to seeing some of the gameplay for this add-on, it looks like we are getting even more story into the Assassin’s Creed lore. I say this as it looks like it is an Apple of Eden that is causing the dead to rise after it is taken. That is at least how it looks based on the trailer we have here that goes further into the story that is being added on for the game and franchise. This all does take place after the main events of Assassin’s Creed Origins so it can do all kinds of craziness. It would just be a bit odd to get a huge bit of lore for the overall franchise in some DLC and not the core game though, so this could be a red herring.

Assassin’s Creed Origins — The Curse Of The Pharaohs DLC

In The Curse of the Pharaohs, players will take on an all-new story, set four years after the events of Assassin’s Creed Origins, and continue Bayek’s journey, as he travels to the ancient capital city of Thebes to investigate a curse that is plaguing the region.

The new expansion immerses players in Egyptian mythology, challenging them to battle famous pharaohs and mystical beasts, as they investigate the temples of Karnak and Luxor as well as well the secret tombs of the Valley of the Kings.

This new content will increase the level cap to 55 and introduce new crafting levels, resources and abilities. Players will also be able to acquire new outfits and gear, including rare and legendary weapons — all themed around classic Egyptian mythology.

If all of that does not hype you up for this Assassin’s Creed Origins DLC, we also have a look at the first few minutes of the DLC just below. It is a lot of the same mechanics from the core game so it is not too different mechanically, but it does show how hard some of the enemies will be in the game. Even the first enemy we will face here looks to be pretty rough and usual tactics may not work. I know I usually try a stealth path and leave the combat alone, but we are thrust right into here. I am not even sure we can do a true assassination attempt on these undead. Have a look though and see what I am talking about.

Has this all swayed you to give this Assassin’s Creed Origins DLC a chance or were you already going to do that nonetheless? Do you think that we will get to do stealth on these undead creatures or will it always be a drag-out brawl each time? Do you think that this will be a huge bit to the overall lore of the franchise or will it be something just for the DLC and not play into the grander scheme due to not everyone wanting to own DLC?
