The day is almost here that Ubisoft is going to be adding a massive amount of content to Assassin’s Creed Origins with The Hidden Ones DLC. This will be the first major story expansion for the game since launch and it drops on us all tomorrow, January 23rd, like an assassin drops into a pile of hay or palm leaves. None of this is huge news for Assassin’s Creed Origins or the fans that have been following along since it was first announced back the Season Pass, but now we also have our first real look at the DLC and just about what to expect with it all. Or at least what we can piece together from the latest trailer as I am sure there are many things hidden in there just as there are in the tombs of the game.
In The Hidden Ones, we will get to explore the Sinai Peninsula region of Assassin’s Creed Origins as we watch rebels and Romans setting things the way they know how, with blades and bows. What is interesting here though is that it is listed as something that also further shapes the Brotherhood and not just the lands. So while this could have been thought to be just a little more of the world story for Assassin’s Creed Origins, it looks like it will house a bit more on overall Creed story. Things that could explain a bit more of the franchise that we have had already and moving forward. For those who need to know it all, it looks like you will need to pick this up or look up YouTube videos later on.
As mentioned, The Hidden Ones is part of the Assassin’s Creed Origins Season Pass and will be available on January 23rd. If you did not pick up the Season Pass, you still can or you can look to pick up this DLC on its own if you do not want to shell out the full cost just yet. There will be many other updates with this DLC as well besides just the story, so if you have loved Assassin’s Creed Origins, it may be worth a look to make sure you get all of the expanded stories out there.
Assassin’s Creed Origins — The Hidden Ones
Continue the storyline of Assassin’s Creed Origins in the first story expansion, The Hidden Ones. Explore the new Sinai Peninsula region to investigate a clash between a rebel faction and occupying Roman forces, and shape the Assassin’s Creed of the early Brotherhood.
How do you think this DLC will alter Assassin’s Creed on the whole or will it only be something just for this game and maybe hinted at in the future? Do you think that we will see many more expansions just like this in the future or will Ubisoft try to get more into future titles without the need of updates like this? Are you excited to see what else is to come here or are you glad just playing the core game and then waiting? Let us all know down in the comments and then discuss. For more on Assassin’s Creed Origins, keep checking back here. We will have all of the trailers and updates you may want for the game.
