Resident Evil 7
The details on Resident Evil 7's collector's edition are here and it looks like we'll be getting Resident Evil 7's mysterious finger in the mix
If you are still wading through all those Black Friday sales and deals that are flooding out there and still can't figure out a place to put down $180 USD, then let us help you out by showing you the Resident Evil 7 collector's edition that has just been shown off. Yes, you saw the price correctly and if you are looking to pick up the game on the PS4 or Xbox One then you are in for one insane thing from Capcom here. At least if you are willing to drop the cash on Resident Evil 7 that is. That and you are okay without getting your return on your cash until January 24th when the game launches. I'm going to guess that PC gamers will have a different option though.
You can see a nice picture of what comes with this bundle of Resident Evil 7 but the long and short of it is of course the game, a nice lithograph from the game, a creepy note from one of the game's characters, a replica of that mannequin finger that is also a USB, and a nice little music box of the home we will be invading in the game. Not only does it play music though, it also lights up with some specific effects that are not listed and it plays a song that the Aunt Rhody character "would like." These are the official descriptions so far but I'm going to guess it is part of the song we've heard already in trailers of the past. At least that is a safe guess in my book.
Resident Evil 7 Collector's Edition Includes:
- Resident Evil 7 Base Game
- Mansion Music Box (8" Tall) that plays a sample of Aunt Rhody with accompanying LED effects.
- Dummy Finger 4G USB Drive
- Exclusive Metal Case
- VHS Tape Box
- Exclusive Lithograph
- Creepy Note
- Premium Packaging
Before you get too excited about all of the gear here though it really does look like the USB and Mansion Music Box will be the bulk of the extra $120 USD that you'll be throwing down for this version of Resident Evil 7. The VHS you see here is just a box that, presumable, will house all of the extra stuff that is not the music box and the rest is just going to be "exclusive" prints for the game. I'm not saying those aren't cool in their own right but they don't truly add much to the overall cost when things are broken down. But hey, if you have the extra cash and need to shell it out to Capcom then by all means. I know I'm still waffling on the idea as the Mansion and USB are still damn cool.
What do you think about the Resident Evil 7 collector's edition that we have here? Do you think that all of the goodies add up to the rather high price point or does it seem a bit on the costly side of things? Do you think that there will be hidden stuff on the USB or will it just be a fun conversation piece at work some day? Let us know what you think down in the comments and discuss. As more on Resident Evil 7 comes out we will have it here. Be sure to stay right here as we'll keep the news flowing. Also, I wouldn't be against anyone wanting to get this bundle as a Holiday Gift for me. Just saying…
