Uncharted 4
A major update for Uncharted 4: A Thief's End and its multiplayer lists that all DLC for Uncharted 4's multiplayer will be free until the end of the game's cycle
More good news just seems to be flowing out for Uncharted 4: A Thief's End and this time it is in terms of the multiplayer aspect of the game. Unlike before where we had to drop cold hard cash on DLC packs and modes that Naughty Dog put out there for us it looks like it will all be free of charge in terms of real world currency this go. That is of course if you don't consider time playing Uncharted 4's multiplayer as a cost because that is just how you will be gaining access to all of it as time goes on. Yes, we'll be getting maps and modes just for playing the game to its fullest.
As it looks this is all in an attempt to make sure all players are on the same ground when it comes to Uncharted 4's multiplayer in terms of having maps and modes and no one is locked out. As it goes for all of the aesthetic add-ons those will too be free and based on players earning Relics in-game and using them to unlock all of the bonuses as they progress on. There is an option to purchase these with real world currency but none of it is in a manner of "Pay To Win." That just isn't their idea or plan for the franchise as we lead into the end.
There is a DLC pack that can be picked up with the Digital Deluxe Edition of the Uncharted 4. This comes with the first few items that will be available in the same manner for multiplayer but also the first ever single player DLC for the franchise.
Triple Pack
For those of you who purchased the Triple Pack (also included in the Digital Deluxe Edition), you’ll gain future access to:
- The first-ever single-player story add-on for the Uncharted series
-
Two multiplayer packs to enhance your multiplayer experience:
- MP Pack #1
- Long Gun
- Booster
- Skin
- Hat
- Taunt
- MP Pack #2
- Pistol
- Booster
- Mystical
- Hat
- Taunt
- MP Pack #1
When it comes to Relics you will need to play in daily events, challenges, and winning matches in multiplayer. From there you will spend them to pick up Vanity Chests and Gameplay Chests. Each of which will house DLC that you have yet to earn or purchase so far. And this is for content that is already planned all the way out into 2017 from now. Not a bad little freebie coming to the game and franchise as Naughty Dog works on their next huge title for us all. Not shabby at all.
Are you glad to see Uncharted 4: A Thief's End's multiplayer DLC coming to us at the low price of free? What kind of extras do you think we are going to get as time presses on? Do you think players will spend real money when they know they can just play the game and get the bonuses? Let us know in the comments below. As we wrap up the time from now until Uncharted 4 launches we will bring you everything that we can. Be sure to stick around on the site so you don't miss out on a single update to come.
