In less than twenty four hours from this posting literally over a million gamers will be enjoying The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. At least enjoying it as CD Projekt RED is hoping. Some may love it and some may hate it but none the less that wait is over for the game and we can see how it stood up through the massive development time it has taken. I know I am in the 'stoked' category for The Witcher 3 but many may still be on the fence. That is why the gods created LAUNCH TRAILERS!!! That is just what we have for you here as we gear up to our final review of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
By now, if you didn't get The Witcher 3 early through nefarious means, you be thinking you saw too much of the game already and want to save yourself for the marriage that will soon becoming between you and the game. You are most likely right to hold that reservation but as I said this is a lunch trailer so only little bits of the story are revealed and little to no gameplay at all. Wait, that doesn't sound like a good trailer for those trying to stay spoiler free… Oh well, you can watch at your own peril and curse the gods if you end up seeing something too soon for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt — Launch Trailer
I won't say anything directly for those who wanted to keep reading my thoughts about The Witcher 3 here but skipped the trailer but it sure does look like scars run in the family here. Unless it is revealed to be something else in the game proper almost all of the related characters shown in the trailer here share the same scar or at least a close similarity. Almost like a family brand or something but most likely just something from battle. Odd that it would appear on the same side and in the same shape. I won't judge though. At least until I get deep into the story of The Witcher 3.
Of course this trailer did do its job a bit more for me as I have had my interest piqued even more for The Witcher 3 with the new enemies/monsters and a guy doing his best Van Gogh impression. That dude gets really into character in this trailer although it most likely has nothing to do with said action. I can dream and speculate though. This is the wide world of the internet here where anyone can say what they want as they don't fear repercussion.
