Hopefully you knew that Raid Mode was coming back to Resident Evil Revelations 2. If you didn't then you can know now as we have all kinds of new information for Raid Mode from Capcom and how it will all work with the episodic title coming out here in just under month. February 24th being the earliest date in the list of all the different locations and platforms Resident Evil Revelations 2 is releasing on. You can look back to get all of that as we are here to give you the rundown for Raid Mode now as you should have been following along.
Resident Evil Revelations 2's raid mode is going to be pretty much the same as it was when it first showed up in the previous Revelations title. At least in the terms of being a side mode that has you and another running and gunning through various maps and missions. In the case here it will be offline solo or split-screen co-op that will include all of Clair's and Barry's story mode content, 54 Raid Mode missions and three maps to play said missions for Resident Evil Revelations 2 Raid Mode. That doesn't sound like much but as new episodes come out there will be more missions and maps leading to over 200 missions and maps ranging from Revelations 2 to RE6. Not too shabby.
On top of all of that you will have upwards of 15 characters to choose from as you complete these Resident Evil Revelations 2 Raid Mode missions too. Oh and the offline only thing is only until all of the episodes are released as well as the retail version of Resident Evil Revelations 2 hits stores. Then you will be able to go online and play all the co-op you want for this mode. Looks like Capcom is trying to take care of all of us as time continues on. Resident Evil Revelations 2 — Raid Mode Rundown
For those who are not into the online or side modes for Resident Evil Revelations 2 then you also get a nice little treat. For you we also have a bit of the campaign on Barry's side for you to watch and see how things will play out for the duo. The best part of it all has to be the snide joke about the random traps set up in the asylum for no particular reason. Just like all of the other convoluted thing in the Resident Evil franchise that made no sense in a real world but were added to make the game fun and challenging. I suggest you check it all out and have just the same amount of fun as we all will when Resident Evil Revelations 2 launches.
Resident Evil Revelations 2 — Barry's Campaign & Claire in Raid Mode
I won't lie. I kind of hope the above snark I mentioned carries on through the whole season of Resident Evil Revelations 2. Finally someone is addressing the bullshit architecture that has been going on in every building plagued by Umbrella and its monsters. Will Resident Evil Revelations 2 solve this? Most likely not but it would be funny to hear character commentary on it all.
