It's been speculated on when Grand Theft Auto V would be making the leap to the PS4, Xbox One, or PC and it looks like we can put all of that to rest now. Rockstar has given us the release date for Grand Theft Auto V for all of those platforms as well as the upgrades that will be coming along with that. That date is…
Actually I am going to make you wait for that so you can see all of the cool things first. Or at least ignore all the new stuff for Grand Theft Auto V and scroll to the bottom of the page to see. Aren't I being cheeky today?
Anyways, it looks like the "next gen" version of Grand Theft Auto V will be way more than just a port and will include the following to beef up the last gen version of the game.
- New activities
- New weapons
- New vehicles
- Additional wildlife
- Denser traffic
- New foliage system
- Enhanced damage and weather effects, and much more
Just what we all want in the week leading up to Black Friday (11/18/14), denser traffic. At least that will only be in the new version of Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online. Which of course; your previous characters for Grand Theft Auto Online will carry over to the new version of Grand Theft Auto V. That and anyone who pre-orders now will get $1,000,000 in-game cash to start off the new adventure or to keep playing the old one. Not too shabby.
Lastly, before I give away that date again and let you watch the announcement trailer for Grand Theft Auto V on the PS4/XB1/PC, all of you late adopters who have enjoyed Grand Theft Auto V on the last gen will be getting a bunch of new content too. This will also be on the next gen version but it looks like Rockstar hasn't forgotten about you just yet.
The "next gen" version of Grand Theft Auto V is slated for a November 18th release on the PS4 and Xbox One. All of you PC players will have to wait until January 27th 2015 to get your hands on the Grand Theft Auto V fun. Man, those two dates are getting hammered with new games for us to play…
