Not only do we want our Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare to look good, we want it to sound good too. You know, to add all that extra immersion into the gaming world while we run all over other people's homeland shooting up the "bad guys" to our heart's content. Keyword here being immersion and audio has just as much to play into that as visual and great gameplay mechanics. This is why we are bringing you the latest in Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare dev diaries showing off very little of the tech going into doing just that. No pun or joke here.
Most of you out there will not care about all of the hard work and coding that went into Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare to make you hear the bullets flying and the concrete exploding. I get that. In the instance that you do care though, the below trailer shows how each sound is set up to be dynamic and use the full world of sound to produce what we would hear in the middle of a firefight. Let's be honest too, this is the closest to real combat a good chunk of us gamers will ever get. Most of us will leave that to the real heroes won't we?
If only all of us could look as excited when we "hear" about the work that went into the audio for Advanced Warfare. Sure we could fake it but only those who really care about how their games are made could ever come as close to the look on this man's face when talking about the engines running the audio for the game. Hopefully you made it through the entire video. If not, you are most likely one of those people who leave before the end credits roll in movies.
