I guess the answer to the above Alien Isolation question is you. You want to see it and we have it for you. Granted there isn't much new in the way of footage from the game but what we have more of is Creative Assembly's vision for Alien Isolation. Not the whole thing but enough to make any gamer a little more excited about a new Alien title given the folly of the previously release game that will not be mentioned.
You can take a quick look but as usual I will give you a bit of the break down so you don't have to be glued to the screen trying to get the details and just plain enjoy yourself.
The main goal for Alien Isolation sounds to be capturing the horror of the original films. The fact that there is this alien hunting you for sustenance and you have no idea if it is around the corner or on the other side of the ship. The fear that it can hear you and smell you at all times. From the look of the in-game footage it seems to be right on par. Looks can be deceiving but the pre-alpha look has impressed that upon me and hopefully you too.
It also looks to have a bit of the human element mixed in to Alien Isolation as well. Granted it looks like it will be in the form of any post-apocalyptic universe kind of theme where other humans weren't able to cope in a civilized manner but that usually lends to a compelling story. Let's be honest too; walking around a dark and empty ship for hours wondering if the alien is going to pounce would get old pretty damn fast. I have a feeling it is going to be a lot like The Walking Dead of sorts when it comes to this.
That about wraps it up for what we have in terms of information outside of the fact that Creative Assembly is trying to make sure the AI for Alien Isolation feels realistic and not forced or filled with pattern. It's like they want us to feel like the alien is real to cause more dread. Correct me if I am wrong but they did say it in the following video.
