To put it short so I can move onto the Green Lantern stuff, I've only really enjoyed the games for the Saw franchise. Mostly just the story of the games and not the game play because it branched into parts of the film's stories left a bit open. Take that as you will or bash as you will.
Now we have the Green Lantern; new film and tie-in game. The screens, new ones below, and trailers for the game look a little impressive. Impressive to the point where if it wasn't known that there was a film to be tied into, I would be a little excited to see what it has to offer. Unfortunately this is not the case.
In its defense right now, there has been little to no game play footage so it could break the mold and have its unique story meld well with what is going to happen in the film, but the stigma is already there. I would be overly interested to see this game do what so many others could not. I really would. So here's hoping that it can break the mold even though the same studio doing the film is publishing the game. Something that stinks of "rush for extra revenue because of the film."
