You might want to put on a clean pair of underwear after watching the newly released game play trailer for Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Oozing with intensity, the trailer showcases epic fights against dragons, immense/diverse scenery and a score that is sure to make your heart flat-line. Developed by Bethesda Game Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks Elder Scrolls V takes place two hundred years after Oblivion in the land of Skyrim. Troubled by the assassination of their king, Skyrim breaks out into civil war distracting them from the newly risen god of destruction; Alduin.
After watching the new trailer I realize my jaw has dropped to the floor. Thankfully I was sitting down while I watched because my knees buckled at the sheer intensity. I'm still in awe at the simple fact that the majority of the trailer is made up of actual game play. It's truly amazing how far we've come in the past twenty years. Eight bit graphics with "bleeps" and "bloops" to thousands of polygons on a single character with high quality recordings of full orchestras.
Although I have never played any of the Elder Scrolls before. Skyrim has definitely caught my eye. I can't wait to sell my soul to this masterfully crafted and beautiful looking game. Get ready to cancel your social life when Skyrim hits store shelves on November 11th 2011.
