There has yet to be a confirmation that this is a real clip that Warner Bros. planned on showing everyone so let's put on the conspiracy theorist hat. All to give us some shining hope that this could be real or to shatter everything by casting doubt. I like casting doubt.
First and foremost, ALL the trailers and screen shot that Warner Bros. ever releases or plans to release have to have their logo somewhere. It is not seen anywhere in the clip. This either points to a good fake that missed this little detail or that someone removed it and thus violating Warner Bros.' requirement. But this isn't really solid one way or another.
Logo aside one would think that the visuals would be enough to dictate that this is a real clip from the game. Except for the fact that Batman: Arkham Asylum was created using the Unreal Engine and it has been well documented that modders have been able to alter the game already. If someone really wanted to dedicate the time they could recreate this entire scene using the assets from the first game. I mean the moves are all quite the same as well as most animations. But that is saying that someone would want to go to that length for a hoax.
Next we have the voice acting for the clip. Something that has to give it some credit right? Well if you do notice, everything they say could easily be clips from Arkham Asylum pulled out of original context for this fight. Like the visuals though, it would be kind of an undertaking just for a hoax. While possible it would be just as easy to get a voice actor to mimic Mark Hamill instead of trying to try to find sound bites to make work.
Now there are a few more items to pick at but why don't you watch the clip and find your own things to poke at. Until then we'll have to wait and see. Better take a look soon by the way. We've already got the YouTube warning stating this content belongs to Warner Bros. So it might be removed soon.
