I have now watched this trailer three times and I still don't know what to say. We see a warrior type character and a caster archetype showing off the hack 'n' slash style game play we've come to expect from this dungeon crawler. The character models to me scream Square Enix; their digital footprint is all over this game. The game play looked more like The Witcher or Dragon Age more than the classic Dungeon Siege. I'm not going to be too harsh since this is the first trailer, but these were my initial thoughts. I just revisited Dungeon Siege 2 not that long ago so with the previous title so fresh in my mind, it's a big jump to see the new Square Version. Check it out for yourself:

The spells and area effects look beautiful, with the areas giving you the deep dungeon feel. As long as they keep pumping hordes of enemies in my general direction I will be happy. I'm really looking forward to the Multiplayer/Co-op which in some scenes of this trailer it looks like they may be demonstrating, but it's hard to tell. So what do you guys think? We didn't get much from the teaser trailer, so do you think this is going to be better for the franchise, or did they just shot themselves in the foot?
