Don't worry, fanboys, it looks like you'll be able to pick up the controller and headset separately along with whatever "edition" you purchase, of which there are three to choose from: standard, limited and legendary. As Binh previously reported: the standard, limited and legendary editions will be priced at $59.99, $79.99 and $149.99, respectively. According to Amazon, you can grab the controller for $59.99 and the headset for $49.99.
As a guy who's only played Halo once, I guess I don't understand how you can let Microsoft squeeze so much money out of you. This has nothing to do with the game or the franchise. These prices are outrageous. My favorite line from the Halo: Reach fact sheet is listed under the Legendary edition add-ins:
Noble Team statue expertly crafted by the artisans at McFarlane Toys. Individually molded and hand-painted, this statue is a must-have for any serious “Halo” fan |
That's right, folks, if you aren't serious unless you spend $150. While you're at it, you're probably not serious enough until you buy a controller and the headset as well. So, you better get "serious" and give M$ $260. They're serious about that, you know. Seriously.
Look, I'll be perfectly honest, the XBox 360 Limited Edition Halo: Reach Bundle is damn slick. It looks absolutely hot and unless they announce a bundle with the 250gb slim and a Kinect together, I will likely purchase the Halo: Reach bundle for myself. That way, I'll get the most bang for my buck, and what's shaping up to be one kick-ass game.
