The Fog Is Flowing Further Out There With The Reveal For Silent Hill: Townfall

Silent Hill

The world of Silent Hill is further expanding, with the official reveal we have for Silent Hill: Townfall

What was once just announced as a name is finally here with the full reveal for Silent Hill: Townfall. A new entry into the IP to keep it all alive, with Screen Burn taking the IP for a spin and heading further into the world. Not just in terms of sales for the IP on the PS5 and PC for Konami, but further into the world than just the lonely little American town. This is not the first time we have seen something like this in Silent Hill, but this one is taking the themes to the other side of the ocean of space and time. Well, more than we are getting a story that is set against Scotland in 1996. So, at least it is close to when we were roaming around the foggy town in the very first title that dropped out there.

If you feel like you heard about Silent Hill: Townfall, before, you would not be too far off. This was listed amongst the long list of titles that were in the works, but up until now, it was only a title with a logo to look at. Now, we get to see how the ideas of mental health and physical health will be plaguing yet another person in the world by the name of Simon Ordell. Someone who looks like they have gone through things many times over, and now needs to survive the horrors of Silent Hill. The good news for Simon is that there will be weapons and gear to help fight off all of these horrors, or help to evade them with the use of a pocket CRTV. One that is also picking up unstable signals and static to help Simon not only survive, but also to figure out the various puzzles and obstacles holding the truth of things back. Maybe it will be good for Simon to dig up, or maybe some of these things should be left buried deep down in the psyche out there. I guess we will find out.

Silent Hill: Townfall — Reveal

The newest psychological horror game to join the Silent Hill series is Silent Hill: Townfall.

Fear the truth behind the static.

Simon Ordell is called back to the island of St. Amelia to ‘put things right’, encountering a town lying quiet beneath a heavy fog, seemingly abandoned but not at rest.

Venturing deeper and driven to understand his connection to the place and its inhabitants, Simon begins to discover fragments of a past rising to the surface.

Experienced entirely in first person, Simon must explore, evade, and survive using a limited set of weapons and tools, including the CRTV, a pocket television used to tune into unstable signals. Evasion is tense; combat is frenetic, while narrative-driven puzzles reveal a truth that refuses to stay submerged.

Silent Hill: Townfall is a full-length, self-contained psychological horror set against the cold, isolated backdrop of Scotland, 1996.

Do you remember the name of Silent Hill: Townfall being teased out there, or is this truly the first time you are hearing about this game? Is it weird to be heading to a different country again for the story, or will this all further the idea that this is more of a state of being instead of a physical location? Will this feel more like a traditional game we would have had back in the '90s, or will there be some other massive twist to the gameplay that takes us away from what made the IP amazing the first few times around? Let us all discuss this and more in the comment section down the page. Now that Silent Hill: Townfall is official, you can expect us to have so much more for the game out there. All you need to do is watch the website and all of our social media to ensure you are as up to date on all of it as we are. You will not be let down by a single little tidbit, I am sure.
