Resident Evil
Resident Evil is coming to life with the new Path Tracing & DLSS 4 features that Resident Evil Requiem will house
It feels like it would not be CES without Capcom showing off something new out there with their games, and it looks like Resident Evil Requiem is taking the stage here. That might sound weird to many, but they do like offering their games to showcase either new PC hardware or showcase a new console feature. This goes back to the day when we were out there playing Resident Evil 5 on the side of a Las Vegas strip hotel before it launched. Now, just ahead of the February 27th launch on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, and PC, we are getting a look at how the game could look if you are rocking some of the latest graphics cards on display during CES 2026. Maybe even some of the current ones, but let us have a look.
Here we get a slight showcase of Resident Evil Requiem with the DLSS4 on and off, as we have seen in many other showcases like this. It is all something that truly feels as if it is bringing the game world to life just a little more. The more interesting part of it all, though, is a look at the 4K Path Tracing when it comes to the lighting and reflections. That is where it looks like Resident Evil Requiem is going to have a night and day difference in the mix. I mean, you can almost read the reflections in the game when it is on, close to what it would be in the real world. If only the hardware were a bit more affordable for your average gamer, so this would show off the true experience we are all going to have, and not just the select few who can afford it out there. Definitely not any of the console gamers, but this is how you sell a video game in today's market.
Resident Evil Requiem — 4K Path Tracing & NVIDIA DLSS 4
Resident Evil Requiem is launching with path tracing and NVIDIA DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation on February 27th, 2026.
Resident Evil Requiem is the highly anticipated ninth title in the mainline Resident Evil series. Prepare to escape death in a heart-stopping experience that will chill you to your core.
Do you remember the days when we were able to have big events just for Resident Evil, and are you sad that they get placed mostly as a demo for some other company's work? Will you be able to play the game as we see in the above video, or will that be for very few and those sponsored to have the best hardware out there? When will we hit the mark that this will be standard in all video games, and on all platforms they are going to release on? Let us have all of that fun discussion in the comment section further down the page here. We will have all that we can for Resident Evil Requiem, that is for sure, so please keep on coming back to the site to see and hear all about that. It is going to be a wild ride, and you will not want to miss a beat. Hit up all of our social media so you are not left out of a single update.
