UN:Me
Learn more about some souls in UN:Me, a new title announced that will have us all question just what might be going on in UN:Me
It seems as if we are on a Japanese horror theme today, as we have another title getting the announcement with UN:Me. A new title from historia and Shueisha Games that is heading to the PC. All well and good. The fun little twist on this mind-bending, third-person, slight horror experience is that we are going to have many souls inhabiting our protagonist. One where that little issue needs to be corrected. Which is why I'm assuming that the game is called UN:Me. As we will need to figure things out for the four different souls in the body, sadly, with some dark twists along the way, and all leading to a very dark conclusion. Only one of them can carry onward…
While that all sounds like an interesting bit for UN:Me, there is a little more to it all going on. Like the fact that our protagonist will have the four different souls in one body, but that they'll randomly take over. This will bring whatever fears or trauma boiling to the surface, with the game offering up weird distortions and other elements to help display all of that. We'll then need to manage what is going on, while trying to find our way out of the mind maze we find ourselves in, find various objects with meaning to the various souls, and come to the conclusion of which one gets to live on in the body. That reads to me that UN:Me might have various endings for us to experience, but there could always be just one that will always need to win out over the others. Have a look at the weirdness this title is going to bring just a little bit further down.

What is UN:Me
Your choices determine which soul remains.
You alone will witness the consequences.
A girl awakens in a mysterious labyrinth.
Four voices echo within her mind.
They are human “souls” drifting through this maze.
Each of the four souls seeks to fulfill their own desires, attempting to seize control of the girl’s body and act on their own will.
What are these four souls, truly?
Who created this enigmatic labyrinth—and why?
Who is this girl?
Through dialogue with each soul and by overcoming their individual traumas, you’ll navigate deeper into the labyrinth.
The answers await those who persist…
Key Features:
- Unpredictable Soul Switching — The four souls within the protagonist randomly take control, each bringing their distinct perspectives, fears, and abilities to the forefront. This dynamic switching system means players must constantly adapt their approach as different souls emerge, changing both the dangers they perceive and the actions available to them.
- Trauma-Driven Gameplay — Each soul carries deep psychological scars from their past. When a particular soul surfaces during exploration, their specific trauma manifests as visual distortions, altered perceptions, and behavioral limitations that directly impact gameplay. Players must learn to work with—or overcome—these haunting psychological obstacles.
- Soul Dialogue System — Special items discovered throughout the labyrinth unlock intimate dialogue sequences with individual souls. These memory fragments trigger different conversations and revelations depending on which items players collect, gradually unveiling fragmented truths about each soul’s history. Hidden within these cryptic exchanges lie crucial hints for progression and narrative revelations.
- The Ultimate Choice: Soul Triage — The game’s core moral dilemma centers on an inescapable truth: only one soul can ultimately remain in the body. Players must decide which souls to preserve and which to “delete”—a devastating choice that determines not just the ending, but forces players to confront the weight of choosing who deserves to exist.
How disturbing do you expect that the final version of UN:Me will actually become? Will some of the visuals in the game truly disturb us all, or just land in the weird categories for many? Would you want to have a locked story ending for all of these souls? How long will it take for the world to shift back to a normal state? Drop those thoughts in the comment section below so we can all discuss them. It is curious to see what UN:Me is bringing to the gaming world, and we'll keep the curiosity up for all that we can get. So, expect us to drop it all on the site here or all of our social channels, so you can join in the fun. Maybe this will be another massive thing in the genre, or maybe it will be something that we all want to forget. We'll only know as time moves forward.
