When Sirens Fall Silent Is Announced With A Bit Of A Kidnapping

When Sirens Fall Silent

A new title, When Sirens Fall Silent, is on the way to us all with When Sirens Fall Silent aiming to push technology forward

It looks like the winning team of LKA and Wired Productions are coming back into the psychological horror space again, with the announcement we have for When Sirens Fall Silent. A new title on the way to the PC looks to give us all a gripping story, along with pushing some of the game engine technology forward once again. That is the claim we have for When Sirens Fall Silent, at least, and now we have some footage of things to try and see if that is going to actually be the case. As long as what we have to see is truly in-engine and this team of ten is able to keep that ball rolling through the whole cycle and into the final release of the game in the future. A future that I hope is not too far off, as this one does look like it is going to hit some heavy topics as well as benchmarks.

As the story of When Sirens Fall Silent goes, we'll be playing as Mila, a policewoman in the early 1990s in Italy. She is on the case for a variety of murders and kidnappings out there in the lands, and is trying to make sure that stops, while also escaping some darkness in the past. All in a normal investigation style of gameplay from the sounds of things. All with more of a focus on the psychological horrors of it all and less of the gory aspects that horror video games have been leaning into as of late. Still terrifying for many, but this could allow for more fans to want to experience When Sirens Fall Silent than the other games the teams have done. Even the events seen in the following video can be a little unnerving for some out there. It does lean into the kidnapping and a few other darker themes that could be a little triggering for some, even if it might not play out as we might expect it all to go. Have a look and see if this one is going to be a title you are going to get excited over.

When Sirens Fall Silent — Act I: The Kidnapped

Psychological horror specialists Wired Productions and LKA unveiled their third collaboration - When Sirens Fall Silent - a dark, investigative, psychological thriller located in the suburbs of Rome, set in the early 1990s.

In When Sirens Fall Silent, LKA continues its tradition of perfectly recreating real Italian locations, whilst delivering a haunting and uncomfortable narrative unseen before in video games. The studio has consistently tackled difficult topics head-on, and this latest project will not shy away from storytelling that pushes the boundaries of art. There will be no face peeling… this is a different kind of horror.

Both The Town of Light and Martha Is Dead were critically acclaimed and won multiple awards, and When Sirens Fall Silent will reveal deep links and crossovers to previous LKA games, further strengthening writer and creative director Luca Dalcò’s credentials as a master of shining a light on the forgotten people, continuing the Storie Senza Voce series.

Pushing Unreal Engine 5 to its limits, When Sirens Fall Silent stretches technological boundaries and redefines the expectations of what is possible with a small, but focused team of ten, but also allowed LKA to deliver a new aspect to its games; a branching, multi-layered narrative dialogue system, with a huge focus on verbal and emotional interaction, investigation and subsequent choices; a huge transformation between earlier games.

Watch the first in a series of innovative trailers that immerse viewers into LKA’s world from the News Media’s perspective, creating a striking, concept-driven exploration of the game’s universe.
