Rogue Point
New gameplay for Rogue Point is finally out there, with a look at more of the co-op gameplay Rogue Point will offer
It is now time that we learn just WTF is Rogue Point after waiting so long for any kind of update. Not a slight at Crowbar Collective as they work on it, or Team17 for not getting anything out there to help hype the game up. This is more of a WTF, so we can figure out what we will be playing in Rogue Point when it does finally hit the PC out there. Well, beyond the fact that we all know it is a first-person co-op shooter title. One that seems to be a lot more fun when you are blowing stuff up with friends. That all said, let us have a look at the latest gameplay that is out there for the game, so we can get ready for its inevitable release in the world.
As the basics have said, Rogue Point is a co-op shooter where we all will be part of a vigilante movement in the world that is taking up arms against some of the corrupt and powerful humans in the world. A group of humans that can buy and sell everyone as their little playthings, and our group will not allow that anymore. So, we will select one of five different classes, grab our weapons from the plethora of options, and head out there with three friends in the squad. All as the rest of the gameplay for Rogue Point plays out like many other co-op shooters out there. Just with a different level of goofiness that some of them might not have. Do not think this one is going to be one of those serious shooters, especially when we see that we will have men in giant pig costumes as some of the enemies out there in the world. Rogue Point — New Gameplay
Rogue Point is a co-operative shooter by Crowbar Collective, the team behind the hit Half Life 2 mod, Black Mesa. Easy to pick up and even easier to say yes to one more mission. Hard to master and yet harder to not enjoy blowing stuff up with your friends. Throw grenades, peep under doors, carve up a giant pig man, strategize your approach, or just Leeroy Jenkins the whole plan.
When the richest CEO on Earth dies, cutthroat conglomerates vie to carve up his kingdom. Using the MERX app, businessmen order mercenary armies like takeout. Only Rogue Point, an elite vigilante squad, dares to fight back.
Rogue Point wants players to enjoy the rush of a good old-fashioned FPS and the thrill of pulling off pre-game tactics successfully, without dealing with microtransactions and mess (apart from whatever is left of your enemies when you’re done).
Fight and maneuver your way through missions spread across 4 diverse locations:
The Airport, the Mall, the Office, and the Oilrig. Each map is reshaped by the game's Parametric Design System, offering new strategies and challenges with every play.
Choose from 5 different MERX classes, each with their own unique playstyle:
Soldier, Berserker, Sniper, Heavy, and the 5-Star Mercenary, dangerous and legendary MERX have received the top-tier 5-star rating in the app.
