007 First Light
A new developer diary for 007 First Light is out there, and it shows us some of the choices that were made for 007 First Light
It is time to continue the journey as we try to earn the number in 007 First Light. The main goal that we keep having out there for the game, but also the core idea behind some of the things that IO Interactive is placing in the game. Which is why we are back to go behind-the-scenes with the team to see how the game is being made. Not only that, but some of the specific choices they made for 007 First Light and how some of their past IPs have helped to build upon the winning formula to make sure this is going to be a game for casual and hardcore fans of the 007 IP so far. Even if a lot of it is still gameplay elements we have seen and heard before. Just with a bit more insight from the team.
Going in knowing what we have for 007 First Light then, this is more of a developer's reaction to how the community has been looking at the game, while filling in some of the blanks. Like, this is something that is building off what they have worked on in the Hitman games, but with a better blending of stealth and combat. There will be multiple times we get to drive in the game, and chases will be another of the fun outings we have in the game. There will be many gadgets and various other ways to handle situations as they come up. Sometimes, using the gadget or improvising on the fly will be the best course of action in 007 First Light, so we will not always need to rely on combat and stealth to get things done. A fun little twist, since Agent 47 would have just taken everyone out to keep up the ruse, but 007 can add in some of those other social skills to have guards go after other NPCs while looking for you.

007 First Light comes to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC on March 27th, 2026.
Did you learn anything new for 007 First Light out of this? Is it weird to see that the developers are doing reaction videos to reaction videos?
