A new 2.5D platformer, Restitched, is announced with Restitched giving off a feel of another big title in the genre
Those who are fans of 2.5D adventure using stitched together creatures will be glad to see we have another adventure on the way with Restitched. No, this is not another title in the line of a popular mascot IP, but a new one that Trixel Creative will be putting together on the PC. One that feels like it is getting right up to the line of things but not crossing it so Restitched will be able to launch out there. Once you are able to dive into the newly released gameplay footage to come along with this big announcement, you might be able to figure out what we are talking about without calling out the other IPs directly. Let us take a look.
Restitched will have us heading into a playful new world as a stitched together teddy bear with other fun friends so we can explore what the community has crafted with all of these tools out there. This is a bit more of the level editor side of things that lets us design new levels and worlds for our customizable characters to go through as soon as we find one in the Steam Workshop. Along with the official worlds and levels that Restitched will launch with so we can swing, jump, climb, and collect all of the orbs and other wardrobe bits to put on Stuffy. See, as close to LBP as possible but still different enough to not get shut down right out of the gate…

Build new 2.5D platforming experiences with an extensive in-game level editor! Browse the community’s creations via integration with Steam Workshop, or publish your own content for others to enjoy. In Restitched, user-generated content is the heart and soul.
The Wardrobe
Stuffy may be cute, but did you know they’re also quite stylish? Dress your plush companion from head to toe by mixing and matching cosmetic items spanning multiple categories! You can even take advantage of the ‘Design Tool’ to recolor items and change their appearance.
Stuffy’s Adventure
Join Stuffy on their defining adventure! In addition to the diverse community content, Restitched will offer a range of official worlds for you to explore. In these levels, you’ll join Stuffy as they traverse worldwide themes in search of their roots. Meet new friends, face new foes, collect new assets, and ‘restitch’ communities unraveled at the hands of tyranny.
These levels are created entirely in-game using the level editor, and serve as a prime example of what’s possible in Restitched!
Stuffy’s Abilities
Always prepared for a challenge, Stuffy can take down foes and interact with the environment in several exciting ways! Push things around, climb along ledges, crawl through narrow openings… or use the Needle ’n Thread to slash down enemies and obstacles, swing across gaps, and pull things toward you!
