Six Days In Fallujah Offers Up New Ways To Command The Battlefields Out There

Fallujah

Head back into the horrors of Fallujah with a new update that is added a whole lot more into Six Days In Fallujah

On November 7th, it will be time to take a bit more of a commanding role in the Early Access we have for Six Days In Fallujah. That is, it looks like we are getting another massive update for the game on the PC version out there right now from Highwire Games and Victura with the Command & Control update they are pushing. A new update that will give us a little more control in Six Days In Fallujah as well as allow many to play the game a bit better if they want to go in solo. Along with some new and terrifying stories to take in and many other updates. Get ready to see more of the horrors of war as this title keeps evolving and gearing up for that full launch down the line on the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S too.

As mentioned, this new update for Six Days In Fallujah will be adding in some new features. The big one is that we can command the various AI team members in the game to get closer to real-world military tactics. We will also not need to find four different players to join us if we wish to go in alone with the new Fireteam AI system, as each of these bots should be able to follow the commands given and to some solid precision. Something that we are going to need as the update offers up two story missions in the mix and one more procedural map to further expand out the area of Fallujah. That now brings the total maps up to eight for those who have not been following along with this title since it first came to light. It looks like it is going to add in all kinds of terror and action into our lives when it is fully ready.

Six Days In Fallujah — Command & Control

The “Command & Control” update arrives November 7 and reintroduces, and modernizes, the “squad-based shooter” genre by allowing players to command and control Fireteam AI. Players will execute sophisticated military tactics, like fix-and-flank, breaching, and 360-degree security, by giving orders to their AI fire team.

The first two single-player story campaign missions are also coming, making Six Days In Fallujah the world’s first documentary videogame. These missions bring players inside the events that led to the creation of ISIS and the first major battle in which Iraqis and Americans joined forces to fight Al Qaeda in Iraq, which had seized control of the city of Fallujah.

Finally, a new “Procedural” mission is releasing, bringing the total number of “Procedural” missions to eight. This can be played solo with Fireteam AI, as well as cooperatively with up to four humans. And, for the first time, teams with fewer than four human players can now fill open slots with sophisticated AI teammates.

Six Days In Fallujah’s Command & Control Update Key Features:

  • Advanced Fireteam AI System: The game’s innovative “Go! Command” makes it as easy for players to give orders to their AI fireteam as it is to fire their weapon. One tap causes the team to execute authentic military tactics, such as Fire and Maneuver, Breaching, Covered Movement, Ambush, and 360-degree Security.
  • First Documentary Story Missions: The first two single-player story campaign missions available in the Command & Control update draw players into the genesis of ISIS and the opening day of the Second Battle of Fallujah. These missions also act as a tutorial for solo players to learn the tactics and controls for leading three NPC teammates using the newly implemented Fireteam AI system.
  • New ‘HLZ Wolf’ Procedural Mission: In addition to two all-new single-player story campaign missions, the Command & Control update also includes the new “HLZ Wolf” “Procedural” mission, which can be played solo with Fireteam AI, as well as cooperatively with up to four human players. This brings the total number of “Procedural” missions to eight. And, for the first time, teams with fewer than four human players can now fill open slots with sophisticated AI teammates.
  • Graphical Overhaul: The game’s graphical engine has also been significantly upgraded. The game now adds ray-traced lighting and many new visual effects through NVIDIA’s RTX Global Illumination (RTXGI) technology, building upon the game’s industry-leading Global Dynamic Lighting and Procedural Architecture technologies, which dynamically simulate real weather and lighting effects and re-shape the physical architecture of buildings so no encounter indoors or outdoors is ever the same.
  • Additional Improvements: More than 300 technical enhancements, improving everything from game performance to the effectiveness of enemy AI to the smoothness of interactions and controls.

Have you been exploring this side of Fallujah up to now or will the single-player option be what brings you into the fold? How robust will the AI be and will it quickly grow out of the normal issues it does when it first launches out there in any form? How many maps do you think we will get when all is said and done for the game's development or will the procedural nature make it truly feel like we will have infinite? Toss all of those thoughts and comments down below and start that conversation there. We will have all that we can for Six Days In Fallujah on the site, so please keep on checking back in for all of that and everything else we can muster up out there. It should be a fun and wild ride when all is said and done.
