Witchfire
The early access for Witchfire is finally here with those looking to dive into Witchfire getting some extra fun out the gate
Pick up your stakegun and head out into the wilds with the Steam Early Access release for Witchfire. It has been a good amount of development time, and still more to go, but The Astronauts have given us all the chance to play the game and help shape it on the PC. As long as you are down to get into a new FPS title just in time for the horror season and all of the other FPS titles that will be dropping out there. All with the dark fantasy setting that Witchfire has been building up for us all. Along with all of the other darker things that are haunting the world and we are going to be the only Preyer heading out to handle all of this. That would be the name of the hunters heading out there for those who have not been following along with the game for the years it has been shown off out there.
This new release for Witchfire offers up a new weapon that we have yet to see out there with the Stakegun that was mentioned before. A new weapon that allows us to impale the various creatures out there with some brutal force of a launched wooden stake out there. Along with many other updates for the game to hopefully get us one step closer to a full launch of the game. We all do need some good witch hunting in our lives and the Halloween season would have been a good thing for that, but the update and new Early Access for Witchfire is going to need to be all of that here. Let us have a look at what is out there for the game already and a little bit of the new updates that have just been dropped out there as you are reading all of this. All of which you would know if you have been playing the game and just woke up to the update notification on your PC. But, I digress…
Witchfire — Early Access Showcase
The Astronauts are thrilled to announce that their RPG Shooter Witchfire is now live in Steam Early Access! The dark fantasy FPS also launches with a new patch called “The High Stakes” update, which introduces the legendary stakegun, Striga; this fearsome firearm, allows players to impale or gib enemies with brutal force. The update also adds achievements, a new Witch Vault, and enhanced visuals across every region. Additionally, core mechanics like Stamina and Calamities have been redesigned and rebalanced to better support the fantasy of becoming a powerful witch hunter.
Striga will be available early in the game as a token of appreciation for all players who have already bought the game, and those who buy it during Early Access on both Epic Games Store and Steam.
Witchfire is a single-player RPG shooter from the creative minds behind Painkiller and Bulletstorm. Embark on perilous expeditions, vanquishing foes to enhance your powers and arsenal. Scavenge valuable resources and retreat to your sanctuary, or push your luck by confronting Familiars — the powerful guardians of the witch.
Have you been playing the Early Access for Witchfire before now or will this version be the one that pulls you in? Will we ever see this one land on the consoles or will it stick to the PC side of things forever? Will we see the final release of the game around this time next year or could it be sooner than that? Fire off all of those thoughts and comments down below and discuss them if you so wish. There is still more to come for Witchfire, I am sure, so please keep on checking back for all of those updates and the many more we will have for other video games. With any luck, it will be something that is not in an Early Access and a final build so you can experience the full vision the artists have been aiming for with it all.
